Question on dmt extraction

So swim did his last pull off of his mhrb and when he put the naptha in the pyrex glash dish he normally uses he saw something peculiar. It looked like little flakes of dmt was in the naptha. How could this be? Anyone have any idea what this may be?

If swim used hot naphtha for the pull, and it pulled enough spice to be saturated, the spice would fall out once the naphtha cooled back down to room temperature. This happened to my foaf once.

It could have also been residue left on the dish from last time.

Well, Swim did not use hot naptha. But the naptha was sitting in the jar for a little longer than normal...but that shouldn't really effect anything.

If the naphtha is heated, do the flakes dissolve?

I can try n get one..hold on. It may not show up very well, we will see.
Actually, i may wait until tomorrow if that's ok, pretty tired here and i'll see if the flakes are still there. Thanks for the help bro.

So, all the naptha is evaporated and swim thinks he mistook bubbles in the naptha for little flakes. What could those bubbles have been? Swim try to pop them but they wouldn't. Now that all the naptha is gone he can still kind of see little bubbles that look like an oil. BTW swim got a pretty good yield of spice from this pull.

I have seen oils fall straight out after first pull with hot naptha. soon as it cool it leaves a pile of crap. Usually a good indicator IME .

Is this good or bad? Should swim scrape up the dmt and try to leave the oil behind?

There's a good chance that the oil has a lot of spice stuck in it. I'd give it a while to dry, scrape everything up, then recrystallize it.

Thanks man, swim has already scraped it up, still deciding on what to do. He's almost out of naptha.

I have seen hot naptha (usually from first pull) saturated with spice, rapidly turn milky when it hits cold glass in the turkey baster and collection jug but never flakes immediatlely. recrystalize the whole shebang in heptane i would say

I've seen it go milky AND seen small amounts of oil fall out, and yes always first pull..Freaked me out the first time as I wasn't quite sure what happened, but quicky realized it had to do with the saturation and temps.
