Kratom Kill?

Okay... My GF and I have taken kratom many many times.. The problem is a few months ago my GF did kratom and a coulpe days later got very ill.. It turns out she had a kidney infection that was very severe.. She got over that and I thought kratom might be the culprit.. She took some Thursday night and about two days later she got very sick again.. Another kidney infection..

My question is has anyone else experienced this?
Does kratom get broken down by the kidneys and excreted by them?
If so this may be the cause.. We may need some experts advise if possible.. Ive told her maybe we should ask the doctor about kratom.. I still have a small sample left..
Ive taken it with no probs..

Please help if you can with some info..

Being an old dog I will say this...

When young and crazy many moons ago my girl (my wife these days) always came down with kidney infections. We did it all and she had a spell of say 4-5 years that she was plagued with kidney infections and I never got them even though we indulged in everything together. Kinda like anytime we got stressed to the max being what ever substance she got a damn kidney infection.

I would not jump to the conclusion that it is the Kratom but hey - ask the doc and see what he/she has to say.

Now for the real question? Are these the only two time the little lady has ever had a kidney infection?

The wife and I take kratom way to much. So far we have never had a problem.

Yeah I dont think she is allergic,
nor do I think that kratom is the reason
for her getting sick. Never know though it could be.
Many of us here enjoy kratom on the regular,
and some everyday. Ive never heard of someone
getting sick like that later down the road.
Ive heard of taking to much and getting sick though.
If I were you id still go talk to the doc and
find out whats going on just to be safe.
Never can be to safe you know.

To answer Roc's question she has had them before..

Damn I hate to hear that she has had them before... that sucks!

Looking back and thinking about this I do believe my girl was not eating well during the time I mention and had just strted taking the damn pill. Hormones and diet were the culprit.

Visit the doc... just to be sure.

My mother-in-law gets sick from drinking most water other than that from her home. Could be a great many things including the kratom to suspect. Allergic reactions can also happen out of the blue from a substance that never caused a reaction before. With certain chemicals for example, your body can become 'sensitized' to them and bang, you are now allergic to that chemical. This is especially true with polyurethane components.

Have her check with the Dr. I think that If it is a true kidney infection than it usually starts as a UTI. This would be caused by bacteria. Also the direction is wrong. It wouldn't start in the blood and infect the kidneys it would start in the bladder and work its way up. This is not to say that stuff like Kratom especially if it is renally cleared wouldn't exacerbate her symtoms. I don't think it could "cause" an infection. I hope that she feels better soon what ever the cause. LOTS of cranberry juice, AZO standard, and fluids.
