Kratom questions...

Hey guys, I didn't know what Kratom was until I joined this forum..
So I just have some questions about it, it looks really interesting..
What does it feel like?
How much does it cost/where is a legit place to buy?
Do you ingest it only?
Is it similar/better/worse than opiates (specific ones?)
Does it taste bad?

It is very simmilar to opiates.
I just mix with juice and drink it.
It does not taste good but its worth it.

KT botanicals has a good selection.. I eat mine in ice cream.. powdered kratom.. vanilla ice cream with chocolate sauce.. never even taste it..

The thai type or bali usually 4-5 grams for me.. I like thai a bit more.. I just bought some maeng da kratom.. i hear thats like twice the potentcy. Its also more expensive but I've heard lots of good about it.

I would stick with powdered or crushed leaf, extracts and resin dont seem to be worth the extra cost. That is just my opinion, others may differ.

Wherever you buy from, just get the plain old regular commercial grade kratom... the more
expensive stuff isn't worth it in the long run; you're better off just getting 2x as much of the cheap stuff.

Does Kratom show up in a hair or urine test as an opiate? Foaf has to take some time off from the opiates (and almost everything else) for job reasons and wanted to know if kratom could be used recreationaly without showing up on an un-anounceced drug test

kratom is not part of standard drug tests and it is legal.

he was wondering if it gives a false positive for opiates though? let's not forget the vast margin for error with urine tests. a lot of the false positive worries depend on the grade of the lab that's doing the testing. labs that don't really specialize in drug tests, but do them anyway, may use older equipment and be less accurate. good question, i would assume it could but that assumption isn't based on anything sound at all.

Exactly. A false positive with the urine test will lead to a hair test. This would be TERRIBLE for foaf. Urine test no problem. 30 days clean is not hard, but 3 MONTHS clean for a hair test will SUCK.

Kratom is not an opiate.. The active ingredient is an mu-opoid agonist. Meaning it tickles the opioid receptors.. I have read some stuff about false possitives but I doubt its from the kratom.. Although i did read something about it showing up as oxymorphine. More likely from a poppy seed muffin. A urinalysis tests the chemical makeup of your urine. Since the actives in kratom don't bear a structural resemblance to opiates, there would be no chance of a false positive. I think. I have to take a UA myself and was gonna do some kratom. I've been taking tramadol for migranes which is a prescription and I dont know if that will show either. But if it does it kinda masks the kratom if it does show up. After reviewing erowid I see nothing to indicate that it will show in a test..

as a drug you could ingest and be high on DURING a drug test with no positives whatsoever.

No, tramadol will not show up on a urinalysis as an opiate.
