![]() | Peruvian Torch
I took about 80-100 grams of dried torch and soaked it for 3 days in 91% alcohol. After 3 days I strain it off the alcohol seperates from the torch being real easy. I do this about 3 or 4 times till the torch is almost clear. I take the alcohol in a pyrex dish and use a fan to help evaporate. After 2 hours I am left with kind of a goo. I take and mix that with some corn startch, flour a little bit of sugar to help offset the nasty taste and all I can say is WOW. I was feeling the effects in less than an hour and going balls to the wall in 2 hours. I have got to say that it is the best for doing pervian torch that I have seen. Try it you might agree

Yeah, Doing an ISO extraction is a great way to go if you don't want to drink tea but don't want to do a full extraction on it either. Good full spectrum, but not as potent as tea or as smooth as extracted. A good middle of the road option. Nice and easy/foolproof.

It would work, I am sure. I guess it could come in handy to make the extraction easier by having less material to work with.

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | i plan on doing this some day, sox a bunch of cactus, compile a big ol load of tar, then once i got a good amount of tar, run an a/b on it, i hate having to only have like 200g per gallon jug, my last extraction of cactus i had 4 extraction jugs rockin, it was a huge pita, i had a buddy helpin me and it still took hours and hours. id like to just have one jug having tons of mesc and just do it that way. i would imagine efficiency would be damn high since the whole cactus snot factor would be no more.

SWIM remembers one of Loki's bulk teks for DMT being a methanol soak of the bark several times, and that evaporated down to a tar/powder, then an a/b or str8 to base tek done on that for minimizing the use of solvents and materials. Probably more practical for large extractions, when getting every last little bit is not so much the issue as processing all the plant material.

i have heard of people making tea then doing an A\B on the tea. no snot , no emulsion, and nice white xtals with minimum effort.

One can make tea first if they wish and it may even help w/ emulsions but I have never had many problems w/ emulsions. Extra lye or a hot water bath usually prevent/fix emulsions and making the tea is just an extra step/hassle and there is always the chance of loss of yield. Unless one is trying to extract from fresh cactus and not dried chips, then there is probably no need to make the tea first.
