Hydrocodone does nothing. Needs 160mgs of oxycodone to feel anything. Needs 50mgs of methadone to feel great. Keep in mind this rat has not had any kind of illegal type of opiate in over two months. Would like to add if hydrocodone was tested now on this rat might need 2000mg to feel something.


Kratom might give a feeling like oxycodone or maybe more like codeine,but for only a short time and after that it might feel like hyrocodone or tramadol. May give a caffeine feel.

Thanks for the info Astra. I got a free sample of kratom from BBB [apparently legal herb] and i did'nt know what to do with it, smoke or make a tea, etc. I threw it out. IMO there's alot of other herbs i'de like to try before kratom.

Yea i did some research after the sample came and got some reports of usage effects varying from a stimulant to a mild euphorigenic depending on the dosage. The tree if i remember is fairly large and bushy yeilding potentially larg amounts of product thus the attempt by venders to try to get people to try it. I dont believe it will become a big seller but who knows.

kratom is great, i've only done bali though because i want more of the opiate effects and less stimulant effects. upon a lot of reading it seems to be a pretty general consensus that bali is the closest to that. you have to find your personal dosage though but once you find it, it's good stuff. i ran out about 2 weeks ago and am just being frugal. it is indeed worth the money in my opinion and will happily order more before long. i try not to exceed using it once per week and don't seem to have any ill effect. i have used it 3-4 times per week in the fairly recent past and ended up with mild w/d's like with any opiate, but the cravings were much more mild than opiates. i always cap and eat leaf powder

will try indo in the future as i was told indo isn't overly speedy like the thai, etc, and extracts can be.

I like the Bali Kratom as well. It makes for a nice night of nodding on the couch. It also gives a fuzzy feeling of euphoria which is peaceful imo. I always get the itches though.

Experimenting with kratom under a moderate opiate tolerance has shown one that kratom is really only useful as a stimulant or euphoriant if one has a very low or no preexisting opiate experience. Otherwise you're wasting your time imho. Making tea or capping powdered leaf is the most effective way of consuming. Releiving opiate withdrawal with kratom has also been proven effective regardless of one's personal opiate tolerance.

I'm quite fond of kratom. The dual effect of stimulation and relaxation is wonderful. It feels like an opiate, but it doesn't -- it's certainly it's own experience. Kratom is really good for work. This is what farmers in thailand use it for. You can go for hours and hours and enjoy your work. I also find that I can read very quickly and for hours on end while on kratom. It is a very comfortable high. I can take it to be stimulated/talkative/in a good mood... or I can take a high dose later in the day to relax and nod out.

Moderation is always a virtue, as kratom is certainly addictive. The withdrawals are short-lasting enough to be worth all the the good times and effects provided, in my opinion. The withdrawal can be full of anxiety and sickness, but Phenibut is GREAT for the worst effects of kratom withdrawal. - I've had a bad poppy pod addiction in the past, from which I have been clean 6 months now. For me, kratom does not have the "soul robbing" or "soul emptiness" that comes with a real opiate addiction. In fact, I notice myself getting deeply involved in my spirituality and enjoying it while using kratom. Kratom really helps with focus. It is easy to lock in to something and not be distracted.

I, personally, prefer premium indonesian kratom. I get it very cheap, and the quality blows away more expensive stuff I've tried from other vendors. The Indo is very versatile too. It can be stimulating or relaxing, depending on the circumstance. Regardless, it is extremely comfortable - like getting a warm hug.... I've tried Maeng Da Thai kratom, and it is very stimulating. I liked it, but it is expensive. Bali kratom is great for late at night. It just makes me want to lay around and relax. I cannot see taking bali before work, as I often do with the Indo.

As far as using it, the kratom alkaloids are not entirely soluable in water from what I've read, so I never bother with tea. I just use the "toss and wash" method, whereby I take 7 to 14 grams of material in a cup, dump it all into my mouth, then fill my mouth with water, swish and swallow. I repeat the water until all the powder is down. I find this to be very effective and not wasteful. I do understand, though, that this may cause some people to gag. It's a learned thing.

I tried this method once before and inhaled the Kratom powder,. I haven't tried it since, but I have heard it is very effective.

no shit! i thought it was real similar to codeine...my nose would not stop itching.

I get the itchies as well, but I used to be addicted to opiates. As such, I actually equate the itching with being good and lit. Unless it is way overpowering, meaning I took too much kratom, I like the itch. I would miss it if it didn't happen, strange maybe.

I just took a good dose of indo to start the day. I love the comfortable stimulation.

I inhaled the poweder once too. lol i hated it. I had some premium indonesian, it's kind of like Bali,but weaker or it could be just the source of the indonesain. I just got some Bali going to give it a try with the indonesain.
