are those the active coleus plants?

dont count on it. its a variegated coleus. extremely common and not to be toyed with. i thought it was poisonous tbh.
ill try to drm up a little info on the active species u seek, however, afaik all coleus contain similiar alks.

Coleus Blumei:
A Psychoactive Plant?




Coleus Blumei and Coleus Pumilus are two gorgeous, intense-colored kinds of Coleus that can be commonly found in gardens and in nurseries around the world.


The Mazatecs use this plant and Salvia Divinorum in a similar way and believe that they belong to the same plant family: Salvia is the female, the Coleus pumilus is the male and the Coleus Blumei is "el nene" or "el ahijado" (the godson).





Although no psychoactive substance of any kind has been found in the Coleus plant, many people report feeling a glowy, dreamy, bright effect when ingesting several Coleus leaves. But, as many users have found, I believe that the Coleus power and effects come mostly in the Dream Realm.


Apparently there's something in the Coleus plant that "powers up" the dreaming experience: some people become lucid in their dreams when they eat Coleus (myself included) or have the most vivid, realistic dreams. Coleus Blumei and Coleus Pumilus are the the kinds that have the supposed "dreamy qualities".



Below are some pictures of the Coleus I use frequently to aid my Lucid Dreams (grown from seed):



This is how I use Coleus:


I get about 10 big leaves (I don't know why this specific kind has huge leaves, as normally Coleus leaves are much smaller... for smaller leaves you need *at least* 30 or 40, 60 or 70 is ideal) Be sure to wash them thoroughly.



Now, you can either eat them one by one (the taste isn't that gross actually) or put them in a blender and make a Coleus brew out of them by adding a little water.



As Salvia Divinorum, Coleus may be absorbed into the body by the mucosa rather than by the stomach, so keep the leaves under your tongue and chew them periodically trying to keep the juice in your mouth for as long as you can (same goes if you made a brew). It can take as long as 45 minutes to start feeling some mild effects.



After swallowing all the leaves, just relax and forget about it (if you get too impatient for the effects, you may start feeling placebo effects and that will only confuse you rather than give you an enjoyable high)


Maybe after an hour you'll feel a nice warmth through your body and lights will look brighter, but maybe you won't feel anything at all... there aren't any guarantees with this plant.


Coleus works best when used for dreaming purposes, so consider taking it before going to sleep, and hit the pillow as soon as you are done eating the plant... probably you'll wake up a couple of hours later with the memories of an amazing dream.

thank you so much for your input...too bad it cant be thoroughly identified by the pics...i heard that its very similar to my friend psilocyben, so i have the plants and it would be fun if they'd be active...thanks!

yeah its not so much active as poisonous be careful its a lucid-dream-inducing-at-best type herb more than a psychoactive, from what i have read.

naw u will really enjoy it if it works i have a bag of dried leaves someone gave me. i think. somewhere. let us know what u thought if u get a proper ID (i wont do it as my experience lacks, altho, it seems as if your variety could very well be 'active' as u seek) good luck

i feel so sad..nothing happened...maybe its not the same speicies....or i did something wrong...i chewed 50 - 70 leaves with no effects im so dissapointed....last night i prepared a morning glory mixture that didnt do jack shit aswell...maybe i just suck preparing them...i took somewhat 900 seed grounded them to a fine powder added butane, evoaporated it to a point when i couldnt smell the butane...meanwhile added peppermint tea to a shot of vodka...then mixed the peppermint vodka with the seed powder and let it sit in the fridge for about 16 hours...after that me and other 2 guys strained the vodga mixture and drank it....nothing happened...sorry about the bad english.. also a ver very good favor to ask from you guys is to id these mushies i found tofday in the park...they are very little but i thought what hell and took some with me...
