Crappy opium

SWIM got some pods.
SWIM made tea to make sure they're good

SWIM got pretty high

SWIM took a bunch of pods and made 11 liters of tea.
SWIM then took two pyrex dishes, poured tea into one.
half-froze some tea, and poured the unfrozen material into the other.
These were places into an oven at 140F for quite some time until they were dry.
SWIM did a 3rd batch double boiled to see if she could make it go faster.
SWIM has 3 batches of waxy sticky brown stuff.
SWIM tries to smoke it, but it doesn't burn well. Tried mixing with herbs/tobacco. SWIM just got stoned from the herbs.
SWIM is not getting high from this stuff. WTF?

Well, you are not making opium.

You are making just a water extract of the pods with your method.

It is usually called pod putty. Eat it. (do the math to figure out a dose by how much pod was used in the first place).

True opium is the dried latex exuded from the pod that is harvested by cutting the pods when they are fresh and ripe and then collecting the goo that leaks out.

I'm no expert on pods but im pretty sure that an alcohol extraction would work alot better. I ground the pods in a blender and added Everclear to the powder and let sit for a few days. I strained the liquid out and bottled it. Crude Laudinum.[Sp] I suppose you could further evaporate the liquid and end up with a burnable tar. Just my uno centavo.

Can't U just smoke the harvested gum ? I would dry it out and try that way. Whats that called anyway ? Raw opium? Cant u just dry it and smoke it?

its sumhow different when u collect in from the living plant. not sure why, but otto snow talks about it and ive read it elsewhere as well.
