![]() | Another cacti ID I just purchased this pot of 4 cacti labeled as Pedro. As you can see I hacked off 3 of them. I didn't get the camera in time to get pics of the tall ones but there is a small guy left and the trunks of the big ones. The 3 long inches of cacti together. I skinned em, peeled em, dried em and blended them up for a total of 150g which is pictured in the jar. I've never done this before so I'm going to need some help. My first question is what do you think of the cacti? I know there is only just the small one to go on but any assurance that it's the right type would help. Next q. What if anything do I do with the goop/slime juice that I saved from the skinning/peeling process? I just collected it as I went along and put it in the freezer. Also I should point out that I live in the southwest and desert landscaping is preferred here so to find good cacti at my local Casa De Po is not that unusual. Not much else likes to grow here. |

id say congrats on finding that pedro pot first off. pedro is one of the weaker cacti, so that amount of skins is not much. We have many cactus experts here. IrishLion is the one you want to hear from!!!!! anything he says will be golden! WELCOME BTW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!11

Thanks I feel better now. It seems like a lot of effort just to get this far and i'm not even close to the end result. This is my first time doing an a/b and will hopefully end with my first mescaline experience. I think I have all the glassware I will need. I'm waiting on a PH meter. I have a gallon of xylene, a gallon of acetone, 32oz of concentrated sulfuric acid, and two 16 oz bottles of lye (rooto brand not red devil) I have access to whatever other chem I need just not sure which ones. So my next question is really simple. Q: Now what do I do? I'm going to need a lot of help with this. Especially the math. My hope is that someone who knows will walk me through my first time. I've read so many different teks and I feel like I still need my hand held for my first time. |
