Cactus first timer help

Please help with the following:

What kind of cactus is this?
What time frame do I have to do something with it?
How to store in the meantime?
If I made tea (if I can) would using the smaller one (left) get 2 people off?
What about the rotten area on the one on the right?
What should I do with it? (My guess is make a tea and try to plant some)
Links to very easy effective teks?

Thanks.

Judging by the short spines I would say it is san pedro. If you're going to split tea between 2 people you might as well use them all. It looks like they're maybe 12" cuttings? Typically with pedro you'll want to dose at least 12" (the more the merrier) because it's one of the weaker psychoactive trichocereus cacti. My guess is that will give 2 people a taste of what it's like, but I'd recommend getting some bridgesii from BBB if you really want to know what the cacti can do.
I think as long as you keep it dry you have a fair amount of time to tea it. I'm sure someone with more knowledge on the subject will have better info about that. The best tea method I've come across is http://forums.mycotopia.net/botanica...=cactus+method. You'll probably want to remove the black material from the one on the right(which looks like a pretty damn fat pedro). Enjoy man!

yep deffenantly san pedro (pachanoi) If it were me I would do that in 1 dose like skizmo420 said pedro is the weaker of them. I would defenantly cut the rot off, cut inch by inch until there is no more rot. might be a good idea just to plant them so they grow and just go to bbb if ur looking to dose, that way they can mature more and you can make sure you stress them to improve the alks aswell before you use.
