PH for Mesc extract

Hey guys,

Most of the mescaline TEK's I see give you directions like 1-2 drops of HCL per cup of water, or 1tbl of lye per XX of water, etc. Can anyone give me a ballpark PH? I was thinking of treating it like a DMT extract and going with 12 for basing and 5 for my acid water. The base is not as much of an issue as is the acid. 1-2 drops doesn't mean anything unless you know the initial concentration.

Any help or tips would be great.

yea as far as basification you only need a ph of 10 to pull the alks out, but going higher helps because if.

1. your doing a stb it breaks it down faster
2. less emulsion and faster seperation.

you cant hurt it by over bassing.

as far as the acid part to determine exactly how much acid to use you would need to know how to calculate moles. (molar mass of bath sodium hydroxide and hidrochloric acid)

without doing that the easiest alternative imo is to start low, say take 120ml of distilled (make sure it's distilled for salting) and put like 2 drops of hci acid in. then mix with your NP give couple minutes then seperate. Now check the ph if it came out basic then you need more acid (if it came out acidic then you did to much/ doubt it with 2 drops) the Ideal is for it to come out neutral then your product is pure. I do this one drop at time (mix then seperate until it comes out between 6 and 7) 7.1 is not good enough that is still basic and means there will still be alks in the NP. for me almost always is it2 or 4 drops per 120ml d H20 that i salt out white, but that will vary depending on material.
