![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Cactus tea ice cubes?
I recently found a bottle of a very dark green fluid that is known to be peyote tea. you cannot see threw it. Its very dark, but also clear of any solids. The smell hints that its real, as well as the source is pretty sound. I have not had any cactus tea touch my lips yet. I know of all the stories of how bad the stuff can be to get down. I am really excited to experience cactus of any type, but getting actual consumable peyote this soon was beyond my expectations. I feel like the excitement alone will make me get it down... But I nearly always have a hard time getting many ethnos to stay in my stomach. Many i cannot eat unless i can prepare them in some way that hides the flavor drastically. So i got to thinking. this stuff is rather concentrated. Its about 8 oz of fluid, maybe a bit more, and it is supposedly more than I should take even for a usual hardhead like myself. I was told it should be good for 2-3 pretty strong experiences. I'm gonna say 2 and divide it in half. which only will be 4-5 oz of fluid. I am thinking its still gonna be pretty rough though, and stumbled across an idea in my head from years ago but never had the chance to experiment with, and kinda lost track of it. I can easily swallow an icecube from a tray if it is only half full when frozen. I imagine i would only need to fill a 10-12 ice cube tray half way up and be able to get something goes down without releasing nearly as much of the fluids/flavors. I was even thinking that maybe coating them in honey as i downed them would hide any flavor whatsoever from contacting my mouth, and making a nearly enjoyable consumption experience over what many describe as one of the worst in this hobby. I will post my own results when i do this, probably on monday, as its my next good free time. I will be freezing the entire contents in cubes and ingesting until i feel like i've had enough. if the whole bottle goes down im fine with that Anyway, anyone else tried this? i'd love to hear how it went and if it was worth while.

Swim had his first dabble in foot long cuttings of Bridgesii a few nights ago and will definately say that it is well worth the taste if you make it right, and do enough, because 2 hours from ingestion the taste of the cacti flem is the last thing on your mind

There is a recipe for cactus jello around somewhere... you could slide a rather large mold down your throat pretty easily I imaging. I've done bridgesii tea a couple times... reduced to about 8oz.... not the worst thing in the world. Better than some of the shots I've had thrown my way working in bars over the years. Just clear your head and go with it ![]() I will say, it's easier when dosing with a buddy, as you can encourage each other.

The best method me and my friends have found for chasing the tea was to drink a gulp or two and then rinse our mouths out with water and then chew on a small piece of bacon. Not sure if its the saltiness of the bacon or what, but it really does quickly kill the after taste. If you only have to drink 4-5 oz, i don't imagine it would be that hard. The first time i did it, we drank ~25oz of the stuff. I have never drank cold tea before, but from what i recall when drinking mine the first time, as it got colder it tasted nastier. The heat was really the only thing good about the tea because it kinda took care of some taste buds. You might want to look into reheating it on the stove top or something. Definitely don't microwave it if you wanna try this. The taste is completely terrible, but the experience is more than worth it. Good luck! |

I make cactus tea concentrate A dose is about 1.5 shots Freeze them and they last for as long as you like You'll notice that the mesc crystals seperate (at least they look awfully like mesc) The idea of a hunk of ice in my stomach makes me wretch. I just thaw out the dose(s) and knock 'em back. Followed by a spearmint or peppermint candy.

![]() ![]() | Does this dosing work well for an intense trip? Sounds super easy... A clever idea I had not thought of... wish I did that rather than an extraction for my first experience,Extraction had terrible results.. yield was incredibly small, probably due to my own errors, simply because it was my first try... tea just sounds so easy, but I never wanted to drink that much of what i hear is a nasty tasting liquid.. a shot i could handle with ease... is it sirupy?

imo when it comes to tea there is a point where you concentrate it to much(amount will depend on how much material) and it's just litterally impossible to get down (just a dab on my tonge makes me hearl). so I defenantly think theres a sweet spot, Good luck let us kow either way |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | PsychoDrogue if, you feel that the ice cubes would work give it a shot. As, for me I always go with the teaing method because, when it is the consistency of tea it's a lot easier for me to get down. I'm the one that plugs my nose and chugs down the 4 to 8 ozs that I'm left with. But, I also, have become use to the taste of the Mescaline tea. So, if I can drink it, anyone can. Good Luck and can't wait to hear your results.

![]() | http://forums.mycotopia.net/botanica...-pot-prep.html (Cactus Tea - Crock Pot Prep) I shamelessly plug this method because it is just freakin' easy. Low maintainance (except for the reduction step - pay close attention to the tea as you reduce it - word to the wise) And yes, it will BLOW your friggin' mind. IME, the more mind-blowing the dose, the more nausea I deal with. Low nausea = low dosage I've knocked back a lot of cactus If you don't at least feel like blowing chunks, you prolly won't get all that cactus has to offer.

Has anyone ever just evaporated the tea to dryness? It may be a sticky goo, or it may be a hard sheet, but either way, it should be able to be scraped up and packed into gelcaps for easy dosing.

Right on P.D. A good Peyote brew! Down the hatch and you'll be good to go! ![]() Look forward to trying Peyote one day. Trich tea, tar or Mesc HCl are all fantastic. Peyote should be terrific!

you will find out that there is no trip like the loph trip my friend, be warned though it can be a very very intense journey into the mind and soul, and if you cross over well you will know all about that LOL.

I really think that ice cube idea is brilliant, maybe you could even make smaller molds out of tiny plastic containers(like pill bottles or something). I like the idea of coating the cubes with honey also. I agree that there is a sweet spot that one needs to find and not boil it down too much or it will be way too strong to handle. The one and only thing I have found that helps the taste of the tea is adding a good amount of fresh lemon juice, it helps A LOT. It also helps extract more alkaloids. | |

Happy Tripping my friend. I dont think ill ever get to try mesc in the tea method. With having tummy issues I think the crys might be my only option. Has anyone ever tried with tummy complications is my question at this point. I may even start a thread and ask opinions. PD may your trip be all your searching for.

I'll weigh back in here. The lemon juice idea intensified the flavor of the tea for me I tried several methods Tea - drinking the whole 8-16 oz after straining Tea - (as above) with lemon juice Extracted tar using EverClear Crockpot prep - drinking the whole 8-16 oz. after straining and finally the inclusion of The reduction step - thanks to Golly for the idea. The reduction is foul Super Salty intensified bitterness (think Klingon Blow Liquor) However, once you clear the residue from your mouth - usually less than an entire peppermint - the taste is gone Use chewing gum or something similar (I like chewing tobacco) Keep swallowing - have some more candy Go for a walk - get your mind off of the flavor Beyond that, some of the accompanying alkaloids in the brew do cause a little nausea but that is easily overcome by focusing on something else (Like the fact that you are entering the spirit world) Once you learn to anticipate this feeling you will recognize it as an indicator of what is to come rather than a penalty for dosing. The more disoriented and "drunk"/"nauseaus"........the greater the peak.
