im not entirely sure if this can go here mods but it is about DMT. Rent or buy the movie The Renegade. (aka Blueberry in France). It is an awesome movie about the power of DMT. its not a drug movie but it shows the indians and how DMT is their medicine and the healing powers of it. its an actual movie in the old western style. its awesome. check it out. im sure all of you will love it.

I finally watched the movie all the way through. I thought it was about husca...I saw the trip sequence on u tube and it was titled DMT trip. But if you look closely in the movie there are peyotes growing in the cave. They never reveal the substance used... and the visual sequence is definitely very spice like. Could the Tea be peyote? The rituals seem very native american to me. The sacred tobacco... the chanting... etc Awesome movie... It would be interesting to find some trivia on the movie that talks about what the shaman uses. Peyote is shown a few times if I recall. I really like how it shows the process of healing for the main charactor.... very realistic... Perhaps the closest thing I have seen on film to the real mcCoy... ![]() Peace...

yes ayahuasca is the oral way to ingest dmt. no this movie is about ayahuasca. you can see that what he is drinking is a very dark liquid. clearly ayahuasca. but yeah, it is definitely the spice for sure. if not adulterated, mescaline/peyote tea is mostly a greenish colored liquid. but no, it just showed the sacred powers the ancient indians used to use, but they only used aya in this. i mean check out his visions, most definitely dmt like. very very very real like too, i have seen some of his visions when dmt has been smoked in the past.

SWIM downloaded the movie using torrents, and there were no subtitles for when the native americans spoke, so we had no clue what was going on in much of the movie. There is one trippy sequence, but they never do hint at what it is. I am not sure how accurate the movie-makers psychedelic experience is, and lots of movies that have trip sequences don't really touch on the insightful aspects of tripping, and most focus on the visual part, which is actually one of the least significant things, in SWIM's opinion, of the entire experience. They show lots of peyote, but never hint at Ayahuasca, although the trip does seem to be more tryptamine like, than phenethylamine like. I thought the movie was rather boring, and didn't really enjoy it. The only cool part was the trip sequence. Youtube has the coolest part of the whole movie, and I honestly don't think all the time I wasted waiting to get to the trip part was really worth it. The movie has a shamanic tone, but I don't think that is the actual focus of the movie.

Loved the movie myself though its a few years old now so its nothing new for many folks here. So for this reason I'm somewhat mystified why yet another thread is being made on this movie. And while the movie is seemingly set in Mexico some research will show that it is indeed based on ayahuasca use. |

i did a search and i did not find anything with this. sry if i posted something about an old topic. my bad. anyways. yes, it has the best digitally enhanced tripping features ever. if you watched the whole movie im sure you would have liked it. OH and if you were aware... the old shaman in the movie, the one with the grey hair is an actual ayahuasca guide that the director and graphics editor took the traditional brew under.

SWIM watched the whole movie and was rather bored throughout. A tripping scene does not make a movie good. I have watched plenty of trip movies with much better content and insight, but this is just our opinion. Perhaps having subtitles would have made it a hair better, but still, the story just didn't grab me at all.

The movie is called Renegade, or better known as Blueberry. Here is the imdb listing: http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0276830/ Plot Summary: In the 1870's, U.S Marshal Mike S. Blueberry tries to stop Wally Blount, the man who killed his girlfriend, from getting to a stockpile of gold hidden in Indian territory. On his way, he meets Prosit, a German villain on a persistent mission to find gold in the Superstition Mountains. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Apart from the Native American mysticism and the trip sequence, the story was rather boring, IMO.
