![]() | A ponderance about potency
Hippie suggests using bee pollen to increase potency due to brassinosteroids (Thanks cap) and tryptophan has been rumored to increase potency as well. On top of that, I found a shroomery article claiming Demanthus Illinoesis root bark would increase potency due to "strong entheogens." My question is does any of this actually make a difference to mushroom potency? If so, how would I add them to my WBS without it causing problems? Nearly unrelated, but I can't get compost tea. Would potato water with nutritional yeast in it be better than nothing? There are other things in Hippie's super cake recipe that are critically acclaimed. Could and should I add them as well? I plan on doing some comparison testing no matter what, I'm just trying to get the community's general consensus before I do so. That way, I will have less variables to work around, you know? Thanks. |

I came across this reply to a tryptamine question the other day... It's from "Ask doctor Shulgin" a few years old... "However there is a very interesting study that took place in Leipzig about 15 years ago. Jochen Gartz, a mushroom explorer whom I know quite well, has done some fascinating studies with Psilocybe species by raising them on solid media containing strange tryptamines that are alien to the mushroom. Apparently the enzymes that are responsible for the 4-hydroxy group of psilocin are indifferent to what it is they choose to 4-hydroxylate. He has taken things like DPT or DIPT and put them in the growth media and the fruiting bodies that came out contain 4-hydroxy-DPT or 4-hydroxy-DIPT instead of psilocin. In fact, he has a patent on the process. These active compounds are made by the mushroom so they really are natural and yet they never have been observed in nature. I'll give you even odds that if you put spores of a psilocybe species on cow droppings loaded with 5-MeO-DMT you would come out with mushrooms containing 4,5-HO-MeO-DMT. This way you avoid a 10 step synthesis by growing a psychoactive mushroom that contains no illegal drug." http://www.cognitiveliberty.org/shulgin/blg/index.html - full text It sure as hell seems boomers are up for damned near anything psychoactive (kinda like me) ![]() Hope this helps...good luck!

a good alternative to compost tea would be to pick up some wormpoo from the store and soak and strain it. should complete the same goals. http://forums.mycotopia.net/fungi-gr...mushrooms.html (Converting tryptamines with mushrooms) good luck on your project. sure some answers will be around for your other questions soon enough. lol. i see i was just beat to it. been posted a few times here i see based on my search results. but yeah, its easier to remember your own threads. |

Get horse poo and get the pine shavings used as bedding material in the stables..The shavings should be wet with horse wee. Loads of goodies like urea for your fungus to turn into tryptamines cheap cheap! Mix all thoroughly with verm for till fluffy like you want to make a pillow from it! Long live the nitrogen cycle!
