Cool Rye flour/verm PF jars October 11-29[UPDATED]

hello everyone...just thought I would post my progression since preparing the jars, their inoculation, and their full colonization. I will now wait a day or two for the centers to colonize, and then dunk them for 12-18 hours, and place in the fruting chamber. I have been toying with the idea of possibly crumbling and casing a couple of them, just to see, but I haven't made that decision as yet. But in the meantime, have been blessed with some good luck and a lot of helpful advice! off to the races.....yeehhaaawwww! ...

thaks everyone for your comments...aprreciate the positive feedback.

Re: Rez Tek, not familiar with that but will certainly look into it.

Re; DE casing....I had thought that I would do the dunk and roll, assuming that is a similar approach?

Thanks again, and I'll keep posting pics as there is sumthin interesting to show

dunk and roll are not substitutes for a double end casing
    think of them as 'extra'
    and do all three

thanks Hippie3. Luv ur posts and advice....I will do that. I am also considering a variety of approaches, and would sincerely appreciate ur feedback. I have been thinking that I might birth, dunk, roll, DC and place in fruiting chamber 2 cakes, and crumble/case 2, and crumble/spawn 2. For case I was going to use verm/coir, and for spawn, verm/coir/worm castings?

A lot of my thoughts for this come from the fact that I think I under-measured the amount of rye flour....and I am worred about sufficient nuts for the flushes. If this is the case, then I should see an imporvment in yield from the spawning approach?

Again, thanks, and your continued advice is most appreciated.

    nutes are almost never 'insufficient',
water is a more relevant concern.

October 31 cakes dunked, rolled, double end cased and into the PMP

rye flour/verm cakes, dunked 24hrs, rolled and double end cased in dry verm, and into the PMP with perlite, two airstones, and aquarium heater. Temp 67F and rising (set for 70F), and RH 94% and rising. Guess we'll see where it goes from here.

Have to mention it again, that sweet frresh mushroom smell from those cakes is soooo tantilizing, I am soooo stoked!

    I don't see any contams.
Condensation on the mycelium in normal.
Just make sure you're providing enough fresh air.
    Congrats!

Cool Day 28 since inoc - Day 5 in the FC....PINS!

looking pretty I think......any thoughts regarding the timing of finishing this flush? I expect that there will also be aborts....but I was just thinking what my expectation would be for these pins to fruit and mature?
