5 Cindy Alohas and 1 Kali mist plant
Started from seed
I am using 2 100 watt CFL`s on them but i am getting 2 more soon
Flouros have come a long way baby
Started them in peat pots and plastic cups, re-potted them in 10" pots a few days back
*cues song "back in the saddle again"
The last pic is the Kali Mist plant
When is the last time you guys donate d to Mycotopia? *cranky face

Hell yeah, looks like you haven't skipped a beat. I seem to remember some creed... something about Gairs and in Paw Paw we trust or something like that?

I have been nourishing them with Texas Bat Guano tea
I am using mainly a soiless mixture of Moisture control potting soil with a lot of verm and pecan ashes from a bar-b-que pit
I have always used ash from burned hardwoods in the mix
Ed Rosenthal taught me that years ago

I think the Cindys are mainly Indica
If the Kali Mist plant is a male i will cross breed and have seeds for you guys...
I didnt buy the seeds from no seedbank

Quite nice paw, such a lovely shade of green. Agreed! the cfl's are not only enrgy efficient but do very well for gardening. Hope you get some nice females, and chunky nugs!

How much ash do you use in the mix? What does it do, add magnesium?

Here is a update, They are all growing fast as shit
This is the Kali Mist plant
I probably put a few cups of pecan wood ash in the mix
It is the Bat Guano that really gets them greened up and healthy

looking great. i was suprise too when i tried my hands on cfl.. all i was using was 56watts! for 4 girls and she really grew fast too! definately my choice for veggin.. i also add 2tsp of glucose to a liter of water with my nutes and man it went into high gear!!

I could probably add some Karo to my Guano tea
I am using 3 100 watt cfl`s for 6 plants right now

some of the bottom fan leaves were yellowing but that was because they were rootbound, They are in 10" clay pots now
I stepped up my fertilization a bit lately, I was being careful with them when they were so young
I am very pleased so far

That thing is quite a bush for a strain that is 90% sativa. I thought Kalis were supposed to be tall and thin with not many leaves? Anyway it looks fantastic.

Well curiosity got to me and I did a little research. Apparently Kali Mist has changed a bit over the years. It now has more indica influence, which helps it finish a lot faster than before. Its not easy staying on top of all this stuff out there today.

They look bushy because of the camera angle
I think they are a month old now, When they get 12" tall i will cut the light back and induce flowering
I like these 100 watt lights, They cost about 65$ with tax from Homely Depot *happy dance

I found a 10 leafed leaf on my only Kali Mist plant...really wierd
2nd and 3rd pics are the cindy Aloha plants
I tuned my new camera in pretty damn good this time
ck out the healthy green leaves *smiles big
I watered with a mix of Superthrive, hydrated lime, Guano and a small amount of Peters Special yesterday
I am using distilled water also
I cant believe how beautifull the leaves are today

It keeps the soil from becoming to acidic and prevents lockup, I have always used it when mixing a soil mix
I forgot to mention that i also put a small amount of epsom salts in the mix last night

Any suggestions on what kind to buy are welcome

I am also going purchase a reverse osmosis system for the kitchen sink
They are cheap now days at Lowes and the water taste good for drinking
I chunked all my old grow lights and fixtures *badly outdated
All the new light systems are so much better than what they were in the `70s

rather inefficient indoors
since 'natural'= christmas tree-shape about 7+ feet tall.
if you don't want to cut
still you can nice multiple colas
easily by bending/tying down the main shoot/growing tip.
pot plants know which is the tip closest to the light/tallest
and put most of their energy into just that one main cola.
but if one bends that main shoot down
so a different cola is now taller'higher
the energy will switch to that cola.
it'll now grow and the old main one will slow down.
so you can continue giving light, getting a bigger plant
without getting so tall that lights can't penetrate the lower areas or lack the needed intensity because distance from light.

cant really LST them at this point... you can move, tie branches out of the way of lower stuff.... but with bud on the stem like that.. they arent very willing to be bent as much....
