lol, thanks bros That fruit is all jacked up, like I said never try and clone after a huge cup of coffee. It'll be worth it if the tissue grows out well on the agar though.

Still 4 months to go Vinz....

    So the current standings:

Largest Cap - Spacecake 1.93 inches or 4.9 cm [Sandoze strain]

Tallest fruit - Feds 6.25 inches or 15.8 cm [Hawian strain]

Incase your just tuning in , a 50 dollar prize goes to whoever posts the largest cap diameter and 50 bucks for max height in an "active" Panaeolus species...
    Details in first post..
I guess i will have to relax the rule of writing Topia in the Pic -Too many stoners
The dimentions must be very clear though and your Foaf's recent grow..

Actually my cope cap is wider than two inches and is posted on page 1 of this thread as shown here:

    mjshroomer

I am going to cut out the ruler and place it vertically over the cap to show the other direction of wideness of this large cap.

mjshroomer So both the cap and the ruler with have the same exact dimension as in the image above.

Here is the ruler placed over the mushroom. Almost exactly 2 inches in diameter. Both images are placed at the farthest widest two points on the cap both horizontally and vertically.

Hey MJ , i was under the impression this specimen was from the past and you were just posting for reference...
If it is a recent grow or find of your foafs and active, then it would be acceptable... Otherwise not...

the picture must be of pans that were grown/gathered by the poster himself, can't post pix you found somewhere or other peoples' grows.

if you did not grow them
then they are not eligible for this contest,
    sorry.
but unfair to just let someone post someone else's grow-
    must be your own.
it's hardy fair to the other amateurs to have to
    compete with a university lab.

Yep ,sorry for the confusion MJ ..The reason for the "Topia" wording in the pic was to help insure that it is a current grow.. Although i relaxed the rule for having that word posted in the pic - the requirement of it being from a current grow remains..
    Nice specimen though...

At any rate, I was curious to what type of lighting was used on those Copes. I love the cracked caps, very natural looking.

Actually correct Hippie3, however we were also away for three days from the lab. All lanai's on each floor of the Department of microbiology are always open so there is generally a high humidity from the outside into the lab.

But these were dryer in the terrarium and then we picked them as soon as we returned form the field trip.

7 and 8 Inch tall Cope Stems

Here are a 7 and 8 inch tall copes.

Old images. These were transported from Suratthani Province in the south of Thailand from a Dr.s Farm, sent to bangkok in the front seat of a tourist bus by the doctor to the University in a large brown cardboard box with earth and manure heaps.

in the box after picking out the above older-rotting specimens.

Here you can see the box is on the lab's 4th floor lanai and you can see some of the specimens on the left bottom of the image with the red-inked ruler.

can you imagine riding in a tourist bus and there are magic shrooms being transported over 700 kilometers in distance from the farm to the university.

I was at my condo in Bangkok when my colleagued called me to come to the lab and see what Dr. Jittra had sent up from her fathers farm in Suratthani Province.
