Picture of the Month: October 2009

please nominate your favorite photo/picture posted here at mycotopia this month of october 2009.

the rules are simple:

you must nominate someone else's photo, cannot nominate yourself.
the photo must be originally posted during october 2009 (old pictures re-posted this month are not eligible).
you can nominate as many photos as you wish.
the same poster may be nominated for several photos.

please include the original poster's screen name, the nominated picture, and a link to the thread or post that it was originally found in!

at the end of the month, this thread will be turned into a poll and the winner with the most votes will a special prize!

ok, i changed my mind about this. two users this month were nominated for 2 photos that are very similar (Teo's salamander on mushroom was nominated twice, and sidestreet getaway's PESA flush was nominated twice). since the photos are so similar, i will assign 1 voting option for each. this will increase chances of these users for winning, instead of spreading votes out for almost identical photos between 2 different nominations.

i'm also going to merge the 2 nominations for each one into 1 post.
