![]() | I do have the rain version 2.0 running full time to keep up the humidity and hope that the rain sounds and vibrations do not confuse the lowly mycelium during this spawn run stage! To them it must seem like an endless rainy season with plenty of nutes, but with no rain water. I would be confused myself. |

| take a temp with an air probe and determine the sweet spot....then set a couple milk jugs that have been filled with water and frozen in them and see what you get. you can also make a drip pan system with ice and a catchpan.....perforated pan on top...fill with ice......drip pan on the shelf below it. thats lowtech...... ![]() |

![]() | Great news! Was inspecting the top substrate tray and it seems that almost the entire top layer is covered with hard, rock-like, rust colored sclerotia formations! Will let it go as long as possible to make sure the entire substrate is colonized and while waiting on the Coleman thermoelectric winter home cooler to arrive this Monday. Will take lots of pics next week during the next step of removing the rye grass tray nutrient source and placing the substrate tray into its winter home for a couple of months. Cheers! Jackal |
