Growing Oyster's for the first time and I have cobweb paranoia

Do you get some very fluffy mycelium with Oyster mushrooms? How fast does it typically colonize the substrate?

Will pouring some Hydrogen Peroxide on the substrate get rid of any cobweb mold and keep the Oyster mycelium intact?

yeah, starts out like that and then it gets thicker.
Probably oyster mycel and not cobweb.

Is Oyster mycelium alot more whispy than cube mycelium ? I got 3 jars I injected with reliable LC and the stuff is colognising FAST. It's not as white as my usual cuby mycelium more grey and not as ropey more whispy I'd like the dreaded cobwebmold.

Is quite fast aggressive growth as it completely took over the dry verm barrier and going to start growing out the injection point holes soon.

I've got some Oyster LC that's giving me similar mycelium on WBS- it looks like contam to me, but since you got the same thing... maybe not.

Yeah looks like very weak myc but as it's a different speicies and my first time im not sure. The culture was definatly Oyster and was loaded with the stuff but just unsure if it's Oyster growth im seeing now.

All 3 jars are the same.

Is your growing now Dr T or ???

Well Dr T I think that weak myc was Oyster myc as it became really think once it had colognised !00%. Just done spawned it to some newspaper following a tek on here. Cant remember whos tek it was and to lazy to dig out the link but anyway should Oyster myc smell sweet because this was the sweetest nicest smell I've ever smelt form any mycelium, like parsipan but much sweeter and lighter... Soo good I wanted to eat a piece of the cake. Hope the mushrooms tast half as good as the smell
