    Subaeruginosa indoor

This spring,I'm gonne try to grow this species indoors !
The syringe I used is made of a clean (outdoor) print.
With this syringe I inoculated a standard BRF cake, when it was fully collonized,I mixed the BRF with hardwood pieces from a pet shop.
These pieces were souked for 24 hours in hot water.
After that, when the hardwood was fully colonized,I added some wet cardboard and mixed it good (see picture 3).
Picture 4 is taken one week later.
Everything is at room temperature (19oC)
The pictures 1 and 2 are some new BRF/Hardwood pots I made for another outdoor experiment.

when working with woodlovers do you leave uncased or can you case the same as cubes with no ill effects?

I think you can do both, but as with cubensis,it's best to case.
For casing I'm gonne try verm. and I will case another with leaves, soil, and woods.

You can see how contamination free these woodlovers are, everything is done with bare hands in open air,and without a pressure cooker.

This is the first time I tried this one Hippie !
I ordered some Azures at MushMush, but they turned out to be dead,so..Instead, I got the Subaeruginosa !
Later..I got a free Azure print from someone...
Now I'm doing both.. (Azure for the second time on a big scale !).

Today I mixed the pots on picture 1 and 2 with some hardwood pieces 1:5 (see picture 1 below).

And went to an old forrest (where I used to play as a kid) to look for some casing material.
I found some great stuff under some leaves !!! (see picture 2 below)

    A little update...
I have added the casing material..; a lot of hardwood, mixed with some verm. and the stuf you see in the pictures above !
I'm not doing 2 different casings just this one ,because I think this one will work very well.
    Here is a picture..again i have to wait,till it's fully colonized.

    Moment of truth...!
Today I saw the myc. growing thru the top layer ! picture 1,2 and 3.
So I decided to put it in my (allraidy tested) fridge. (picture 4)

Hopefully it wil give some pins after a few weeks, otherwise I will take it out of the fridge and ad a new layer of hardwood. (first I want to see if it is really needed)
The next few weeks will be a little bit the same as my first grow of cubies..just waiting for that first pin !!! (hopefully!).

----'Whats the avg. temperature of the fridge?'----
    It's adjusted to 10 oC / 50 F (with the door closed)

Wow Wajlitjim.. I hope, it will also work for me too !
Thanks for the pictures, gives me a little bit more hope ! (do you now how long it took to get pins ?)

If it doesn't work, then I will make more and more layers...

"Once the top layer of substrate had a healthy covering of mycelium, a casing layer of sterlilised woodchips was added on top. The terranium was put in the fridge for 6-8 hours a day. After 2 weeks of refrigeration, many hyphal knots began to appear. I started misting and fanning 2-3 times a day. Slowly but surely, the pins began to develop and within 2 weeks of pins forming, I harvested the first flush of 20 fully grown Psilocybe Subaeruginosa mushrooms!"

Last week ..There was still no sign of any forming pins,so I added an extra hardwood casing.
Pictures below shows how fast the myc. has colonized the hardwood chips after one week !
But.. no pins yet,but maybe next week !?

Very similar potency to Ps cyanescens and Ps Azurescens,
Most can't tell the diffence between woodlovers, they're all very potent.

very nice, spacecake! So, Waylit, compared to cubes the potencey is how much more? Are they 2-3times more potent or is it more? I have heard of people getting off really good on 1 dry gram of cyans.
