DDD Steak with Carmelized Onions n Mushrooms

Very easy...

Get some olive oil going with some butter in a pan. Cook your julianed onions (sliced) till they start to get a bit brownish. Season with a bit of salt and black pepper. Then toss in your mushies, and cook some more. I used 2 onions and 1 large button mushroom. After a bit the sugars will carmelize and you will have some sweet stuff.

That's the little toppin..

Now the steak... smear on some butter with your fingers and season with some sea salt / kosher salt and some black pepper. I cooked this one under a broiler oven.

The butter is a little trick.. keeps the steak super tender and good! And notice how 2 onions really cook down.

looks good
except for the onions,
i'd have to use less,
and chopped finer.
can't stomach big hunks of cooked onion, blech.

but they sooooo good... carmelized down, sweet and good.... mmmmmmm, 2 onions cooks down just enough to cover a nice sized steak

- Note, no O on hipps steak
