Well, I didn't measure my freshies. Just eye-balled out 10 fresh doses.

I used half boxes of jell-o, cuz I wanted it red,white, and blue

I took a lot of time prepping mine, made 3 separate batches so I could layer the flavors/colors of the jello. I used a 13x9 pyrex, then sliced it up when it was time to enjoy. 8 friends partied with it.

It is a fantastic way to ingest, enjoyed by all who tried it.

I have to know.. when you tried this recipe this last time, did you try the lime soak prior? Did you notice what I meant?

Eats, the answer to your previous question is / a grocery store is fine. you will notice that there are small green lime shaped ones in plastic containers, and fancier labeled more expensive ones. I like the fancier ones as they have good homemade taste. I cook with lime juice all the time and in most dishes it is a good secret recipe... Yum!

no I didn't try the lime juice. I wanted to follow Eat's recipe to the letter to make sure I didn't screw anything up. I will be sure to add the lime juice soak next batch of jell-o I make

with psilo being so readily soluble in even just water
the real benefit of citric is in preserving potency,
not so much enhancing it.

I beg to differ. 1.5 grams of dried azures in a shot glass with key lime had a 10 minute wait with a much more intense trip than the same consumed dry which would take much longer to effect.

Citric will preserve yes but it also has a metabolizing effect making more of the psilo compounds digestible.

I am interested in hearing feedback from the first poor sucker other than me to try it : )

Hey Eatyu... I wanted you to know that i made up a batch with your recipe this weekend. I made one pack of jello with a quarter ounce of fresh boomers. I seperated it into four jello shots and let em cool. Later on that night I ate two and watched the fireworks, and had a great time. Anyway, I wanted to say thanks, the recipe worked out great.

you compared a DRY dose which is unfair-
tea is well known to be faster
as the magic is already out of the tissue,
same as with your lime juice.
i have soaked chopped shrooms in a shot of whiskey
a bare 10 minutes
and the shot was quite potent, hitting very fast.
i believe it's not so much that key lime juice is so special
but that liquid extracts in general are faster than eating dry
and hit you harder,
as many have reported here over the years.

I have no chemical equations only personal experience. I wish I could reference where I first learned this but it was over 5 years ago that I had found the information. I am not in the mood to dig and dig to find any equations.

That does make sense though about the liquid vs dry and I see what you are saying.

Still I think Eats is the best candidate to give this a try as he is quite familiar with the potency and nature of the recipe. Only he would know the difference. Since I have tried neither his original or with the lime factor I can not say but am excited to hear. Probably would taste delicious though.

I have to agree with Hip on that.

All liquid extracts I've tried hit harder and faster than just eating dry or even freshies plain.

Well I will do my best to rest my case and to not drag this any more off topic.

Love the Jello recipe Eats just dont know if I will ever do shrooms again to try it. Wish I was a little younger and not bound by life's sobering realities.

Are you still up to give it a shot the next go around??? I will be waiting!

Love this recipe! It sounds like a great way to transport it unobtrusively as well. Do you think it would keep for a few days if stored in an ice chest while camping?

oh really. wow. how did that mix up? was it hard on the stomach with the whiskey? i bet the whiskey masked the taste.

then i used my pestle to crush/macerate the tissue
until it turned dark blue,
let it soak a few minutes, strained off the now-magic whiskey
and slam!
down the hatch.
ten minutes later effects were felt.
couldn't taste the shrooms really,
just the fire.

sweet, im gonna try this next. but use a key lime in with the tequila....:headbang :

well just tried what you suggested kinda hip.

probably should have used a bit stronger alc. some cherry flavored vodka was all available at the time. fresh fruit were chopped up with a knife, thrown into a cup. poured the vodka over it and then squeezed 3 key limes into it. let it soak for 30 mins but it was still very blue. so left it overnight. not sure if this screwed it up.

anway was ingested. took longer than tea. so about 30 mins in the leftover fruit were swallowed with a gulp of liquid. ended of being a good little few hour ride. didn't hit too strong but strong enough where we were like jello for 4-5 hours. and it wasn't much consumed at all. just about 3 nice fruits each. chopped up and done like the above process. definitely easier than eating it.

me wonders if the alc had any effect on the onset time?

better fresh than left overnight i believe,
you lost significant potency i'd bet.
