Isolate, just ripped open a fruit body and and put some of the inner tissue in a sterile half pint of water with some broken glass, (i read about someone doing this somewhere in the archives) shook it up till the tissue was pulp, then filled up 3 syringes and knocked up 6 quarts of rye grain, spawned to heat and lime pasteurized straw, and crossed my fingers.

Yes they sure do, and that horrible taste can be cooked right out of them.
Some of the potency is probably lost, but lets face it, we can afford to be somewhat wasteful.
I think that it is well worth having to eat a tiny bit extra and enjoy what you are eating, than having to force down something that makes me gag.

I was just browsing through the archived bbq mushroom (barbecuing mushies), and after what pissybee said about psilocin/cybin being weird molecules, I wonder if maybe the sauce put on the mushrooms helped to keep the actives around the mushroom, as silly as that sounds.

Has anyone dined on a bbq'd mushroom and not tripped out? Hippie3 how did yours turn out?

Use a knife and fork when eating the big ones, thick stems can be kinda stringy.
