    strains with fantasy names

    Hello topians!
I have a question about 2 strains of p.cubensis that were distributed by the dutch vendor "pro-care"
one was "columbian" said to origin from medellin
the other one was called "amazonian xtc" from porto ayacucho/venezuela.
this sounds like phatasy-marketing names to me. i wonder if this is just a normal amazon(which was not from venezuela i suppose).

mabee there is someone here who knows the company that sold them and can confirm the strains origins.

    thanks alot!

Medellin us a city in Columbia, mostly known for cocaine production fromthe medeline Cartel.. Cubes do grow there and so it is a common name. The Amazonian Xtc is more than likely a marketing name. I do not consider it exotic. The original amazonian Penis Envy was from Mckenna ans Steven Pollock's company who both developed similar strains int he late 1970s.

I as recently invited to visit Pro-Care and photograph their shroom farm in the Nederlands. Still deciding whether to go or not since I already recorded the Fresh Mushrooms of Tiel farm last year which appeared in Heads magazine on line.

Yeah, mj, depending on the schedule I'd take that oppurtunity in a heart beat. Sounds like it would be much fun.

I would say dont buy anything from Pro-Care and belive nothing any of them say. This 2 guys dont eat mushrooms, they only grow and sell for profit. I read in an interview that nobody from their turkish familis know what mushrooms they grow. They really dont say it to theeir familiys because they think it is bad what they do.

    I hate such guys
