Shroom ID: A most beautiful fungus from Thailand

Okay, I found this where there was a giant honey bee's nest in a coconut tree hollow.

It was on the ground with a stem of a branch growing through it. I lifted it out of the earth and this is what I saw.

I have no idea what it is so anyone who is knowledgeable, so please feel free to let me know what you think it might be.

    Thanks

    no idea..some kind of bolete
looks like two mushrooms grew around the branch then fused back together.
    is it infected?

polypores and boletes are the only family to have pores as far as i know.

IT is definitely a member of the polypore family. But what is the question?

I found the stem most interesting. I wonder what that is that looks like a bunch of reddish pebbles set in the stem. Were they foreign or part of the mushroom itself?

    beautitful mushroom

my first thought was something similar to Phaeolus schweinitzii, but it obviously is not, that was just my first impression

a closer possibility is Inonotus hispidus (their pileus look almost exactly similar to what you found). but the shroom in your photograph appears to have a type of stem, and the pores of yours are mostly whitish (possibly from spores?) and tinges of yellow

so, i am not sure, judging from the bright vibrant colors it looks like it could very well be medicinal but not really edible

    nice find
