UK Outdoor Growing 2009

Hey all

I've started this to log my attempts at a UK harvest and all that entails...
It's not the best of climates to grow in so it takes a little know-how and the right genetics that will finish in time.

The strains that I have started so far is the Leb x Kush and Mandala#1. I've also got some tester beans from a dude called Lowlife who has a seedbank and mainly produces Autoflowering plants such as AutoAK, AutoBlueberry etc.. I have a pic attached of the seed packs.
I'm hoping to grow Auto's in my garden and grow the others guerrilla style.
Hopefully some friends will pop up to show there grows and everyone reading this is more than welcome to join in.

Hey TPS, 'the other chap' - have put a pointer to this thread on OpenGrow if that's OK.

Hopefully our little community will reconvene here, seems like a great site for it - awesome brewing threads and distilling info (which is banned on brewing boards).

Hopefully this will become the thread. I'm not growing this summer as off travelling for 2 months (but planning to take a chilli seedling with on the van trip an see how it does 'on the road'!)

Have finally harvested dried and cured the indoor chunks and sensi star, finished that thread just in time for PG to go down THe yield from 2 deep chunks was less than the one sensi star! The chunk-dominated creek was even lower yielding though the other one did OK with an Oz and just over an Oz off the sensi star, though had mold probs on one bud...

Hopefully the other usual suspects will drift along here soon! Will keep an eye on opengrow as well.

Great to see some PG members over here and welcome to the thread seedlessstinky1 and hyphaenation

My seedlings are doing ok so far. These are chilling near a window and i know are a little stretchy, but that will be sorted out soon enough.





I've also germed a LebxKush in my big raised bed that i also call 'lowrder island'



I will be starting a load of Auto's in this bed in a couple of weeks. I wanna time my grow so they flower during July/August..

I also have some Poppy seedlings in the raised bed...hopefully they will do ok

i know---i wount be doing a garden grow unfortunatly this year---biulders next door starting a extension in june some time---warned by the naboiur---aint that cool----plus a break will do me good---dont have to worry about the police cuming back to the house and shit---gonna do gorrilla----i want to get an indoor grow going---i have a 5ft by 3ft area to grow in 7ft hight----i will take cuttings of the earlest finishers as well as the best looking plants as they go in to flower---reveg them and keep them over the winter for next year-----as the ak47+white widow --i took cuttings the day befor harvest reveged them and save so much time and effort sexing them---loads of them-----its a plant worth haveing for outdoor growers----got a few amazing plots i found but its pure heavy clay soil--a lot of work and at least £60 on compost----but done a lot of scouting last year---maybe 15 diffrent plots to choose from---hope its a good year--but who knows ill carry on regardless stay safe all

How did you ie the plant beer then TPS? Awaiting a taste report! Kept my 'hopcorn' for full mash brewing from August and been looking into that seriously - there's a HUGE tradition of using hemp flowers instead of or as well as hops in Germany and a afew places still doing it...

Doing some bubble runs and a bud butter run at the moment - damn that chunk and creek makes the most SUPERB hash! Really rate it as some of the best I've had Got a little 2nd-run c99 trim in this final run now which should add a little up to the combo - recon I'll get something around an eighth off it all And the house smells of sweet sweet chunk butter - yummy!
Thread seems a little slow - maybe site registration dealys are reducing uptake?
Guess we're all resigned to PG not coming back
Hope the crew reconvene and find this place - I think opengrow shows some hope but this place is a bit of a gem and LOADS of history on the threads.

I like the sound of that Cranberry semi-auto cross - probably because I like cranberries, lol. 500g sounds quite generous as a yield rating, wonder if they mean per plant or per pack (all plants) ...Could be one to watch for those of us that love the deep colours and berry flavours in our herb.
Im going to start some AutoAK x DieselRyder (cross made by Rampant) and a few outdoor types I have in my stash. Not quite decided which ones yet but I'm gonna get them sown tonight before bed. These will be for a guerilla crop.

Bucks, hey bro..! Yeh, this site is full of priceless info on all sorts of proceedures and many difffernt entheogens. A real treasure chest for those who love the art and science of getting high.

Good to have you back online Zed. Yeah those Cranberry seeds sound cool, but the seed description does seem a little opitimistic on yields! I'll start a few in a couple of weeks as i wanna keep these small and in the garden. The Auto's wil also be started soon!

Will need plenty of slug/snail pellets as they are having a ball in my garden this year...nothing is safe...

Also Zed I forgot to mention that BGB sent me a couple of crosses that are yours...AAH F2's and some AK47/LR x O'Haze F1. I'm guessing these are safe and good to try out? It will be next season tho for these.

My seedlings are now young plants...will post up some pics soon.

potted up 31 seedlings last night, consosting of 17 lebanese cheese, 9 sensi star x chese/leb, 5 biddy's sister x cheese/leb and 3 biddy early that were bred by yoshi to isolate the earliest pheno from ch@ppers...

i still have heaps of seeds for those of you that are interested... old skool only

The blue buddha x sour diesel v3 came out really nice, i did the 2nd run in hydro, slightly overfed but still large very dense buds, saved a male for breeding and crossed it with some g-force. The offspring will be inbred and crossed with a dieslryder male if the pollen is still anty good, will try and get some pics up soon. Everytime i visit this site i start thinking shrooms and that can only be good thing! Peace all.

the new site felt alien--i gave someone 6 clones ---there at 7 weeks in flower i only seen the plant flower out side---these are in door---they look compleatly white the same purple leaves and stems but compleatly frosted---i took a few little buds from the bottem----put them in micro wave until dry----not a good way rto dry but it still got me stoned--ill get some pics befor the chop---definatly growing this indoors as well as out---one mother plant---i only have a female version of this plant ---apart fromkeeping a mother for years is there anyway i could keep this genetic alive-----i would like to do a feminze seed run but have never done it-----i have male hollands hoop northern lites white widow---plants which i will cross as if i can find the places----this is a keeper for sure---in or out---as good as exspensive seeds or so called hyped strains----this is an outdoor grows dream---low oder mid october---very mould resitent---easy to manicure high bud to leaf ratio---potent----u guys should have this one in your amoury---im sure the more experienced growers could do wonders with this one----anyways howdy all---iv never seemed to manage responsible drinking---i try but it ends up lasting three days untill im to ill to keep going even with all the other stimulants to help me keep going---and if the money runs out on day 2---u will hear the sound of an off licence alarm ringing in the middle of the night---thats why i had to give up

Cheers all! The blue buddha x sour diesel v3 in the pic was the 2nd female i grew from seed. It came out a bit fluffy in coco and hermied but the 1st one i kept and seems nana free so far. I got some really dense nugs in hydro, was suprised how heavy, taste was exotic but not overpowering! It was a bit overfed though. Anyway i cut back to 1/4 strengh veg and bloom and full strength boost and things look much better, instantly loads more proper looking buds. Another thing i have done was to buy myself a mini washing machine to mix my trim and a new set of bags, whole lot for a ton. The difference in yield and ease has amazed me, never had so much and no more stirring. Very smooth as well, suprised me. Now to get a press. Any pointers, seems a pain in the arse to me but i didnt want to risk it all going moldy so i crumbled it. Never kept it long enough before for mold to grow. peace

Yep, I agree with Bucks. The other site has potential, but its already full of trolls and no growing stuff really at all. I understand its new so it will be interesting to see how it goes, although everyone seems to be happy enough here. Who knows

This site is awesome for its friendly vibe and depth of info. How many of you lot are now thinking of growing mushrooms....I certainly am!! Although i do have a few in the freezer so no rush

I fucked up with my outdoor plants by giving them too much Sun when they were not used to it...a noob mistake but i forgot i had moved them...

Whats been nice is some of the flowers in my garden. Its been sooooo nice that i hope its a sign of things to come!

label thats something i mean to do----i did write on the pots with magic marker---and they magicly disapeard every year i fuck up---had me little book with info lost it----i did smoke some of the plant im talking about from an indoor grow---wow---u pips need this in your armoury---chappers or zed could do wonders with this one----i gave him 6 bushy plants hes a compleat novice the buds wear not to big but dense and sticky as---i have some pics there not to good ill work out how to up load and ill give you a glimps of the outdoor mother and the indoor clones--this is my main crop--every thing eals the white widow holads hope northern lights are now just something eals to grow

hi TPS, sorry man forgot to mention it would stretch like mad. Still its a heavy yielder and i think you will love it, far less vegging time than karmatrain. The smell is very addictive! I just did a few clones in soil, will upload some pics end of week when i cut.

I've been busy with my dmt extraction. I will post a pic as i know Zed will appreciate it. I got a gram from 50g's of starting material...not a bad return!!



The next pics are of my poppy plants that i started a while ago. Will be interesting to see what happens...





Will be starting a load of Auto seeds this week. Should then flower through August..hopefully this year August will be a lot better as it was the most cloudy on record last year

Well i is here & great to see a few old names , not a great start coz i can`t even find how to get my sexy avatar up .
Those of you that don`t know me im a complete lover of UK Outdoor plants & always grow completely organically from Nettle tea for veg to organic Tomato food for flower with plenty of good compost & chicken manure . I have grown 1 or 2 plants successfully & if i ever get this sussed will post a few pics .
UKME u should answer your texts coz i sent you 1 about compost , i have piles of beautiful stuff for the clay problem

Hi Rampant , it`s simple & very effective , also dirt cheap . Get some good gloves & strip the leaves & top shoots off & sling um in a plastic dustbin or similar with a lid , the less stalk the better as the goodness is in the leaves . Can be done in smaller containers but a bit inpractical . Try & place somewhere with a bit of sun as the water warms it works quicker
Just cover with cold water & stir every few days with a garden fork , it`ll gas up then settle down , takes 3-4wks & your left with a s*** stinking green soup [hence the lid] . Dilute this 10/1 & water . It`s full of trace elements as well as N . It`s been used by gardeners for donkeys yrs .
I had a good link but can`t find it on my favs , try a search .
I hav`nt yet found a P substitute as easy [pity banana skins can`t be made into a tea , or can they? ]. I use Westlands tom food as it`s the only organic one iv`e found . I suppose any tom foods as good .

spent some time checking out some threads & i like a lot going on here , some good info & like minded growers .

Check out it`s mineral content , not very detailed but it seriously works , along with a bit of Fish/blood/bone & chicken manure in the compost the plants really grow well .

bgb what your saying about bannanas my compost bin is basicly 40% TEA BAGS 40% WEED stalks leaves males and 20% bannana skins chopt up we eat a lot of bannanas---the bottom part is about 6 months old so i havent used it yet for growing but ill try it with some autos and see if it works---if you dry the bannana skins in oven and let them dry for another month and grind them in to dust---not sure if you boil it or leave it sit like nettles but i read in one of the growing in clay problems sites not mj related that it gives a high potasium feed i think---they wear growing marrows or something on them lines ---i think you need a lot of bannans though---but i read that while searching for growing in heavey clay grownd amendments or something on them lines but it was all organic growing ----good planting weather full moon---stay safe

Hey BGB, good to see you here man..! I forgot about that nettle tea you make. Have you any plants growing this year? Be good to see you pull off a nice size harvest like a few years back. Good memories of back then when I used to pop over for a smoke in the evenings. Remember that bubble hash you made from BiddyEarly..? Man, that bong hit was immense, and when I exhaled no smoke came out..! I absorbed the lot into my lungs and was virtually tripping of it, while spluttering and coughing.. Lol.. Wicked buzz from that..!

TPS, I'm liking those Irises you have growing. Makes a garden look so much nicer with some beautiful flowers in it.
That's some clean looking DMT you've made there, good going man. I did my extraction last week and got quite a large yield of crude DMT. It'll need recrystalising as most of it is yellow and waxy looking, though I did manage to collect some whiter crystals from the edge of the evapourating dish. I got high on that last night.. Not a major experience as there was only a tiny bit but the feeling was amazing and the room was covered in patterns changing through different shades and colours, and to black'n'white. Some very nice closed-eye-visuals too..
I've ordered some Heptane to do the re-crystal.. I've read it is much better as it won't hold any causticSoda in solution, unlike lighter fuel (naptha) which the caustic-soda is slightly soluable in. Maybe the main extraction can be done using heptane from the start.

Rampant, I've a G-Force indoors at 5 weeks 12/12hr and she is smelling real good..! She has suffered a bit from catching that virus - dropped many leaves- but the qualities of the resin are uneffected by the disease. I've three copies of her which will be going guerilla in a week or two.

Ukme, good idea with the banana skins, drying and powdering first. If the skins are dried in the oven while cooking dinner, no extra energy need be wasted in the process.

Guerilla plans..
I figured it's too late to start seed as the weather has been getting a bit too hot and bright for seedlings. They would need regular attention but I would need to do the lot outside to avoid passing the virus to the new seedlings.. So I've decided to put out clones (virus infected) for a guerilla crop this year.. I've about 22 of them (C99/DTFH, Lifesaver & G-Force) which I've potted up into cardboard tubes which will act as fibre-pots and should encourage the roots to grow deep. I've seen a few places about which I might be able to grow a sly ganja plant or two...
Then once my current indoor crop is finshed (about 4wks) I'll clean out the grow cupboard and other grow stuff still in the loft and stop growing weed indoors for a few months to get rid of the virus. The infected guerilla plants will have to be trimmed and dried else where and smoked (or at least out of my hands) before I start anything indoors again..
In the mean time I can concentrate on growing my entheobotanicals..

Hi Zedhead, sorry to hear you still have the virus problem but pleased the g-force has survived. I have been crossing it with a few new males and will be trying out the beans soon. I took some pics but couldnt upload them, will try again this evening.
