When to take my cakes from their jars?

I am a newbie and have posted but no threads.
Have 6 jars w/ 2 looking good and lots of white myc. the other 4 have not as much. There were innoculated 2 wks. ago. Now wondering when do I transfer to the fruiting chamber? I used mexi-cub and also penis envy spores. (no pics. to supply at this time.)

well you will want to wait until the jar is 100% colonized with mycelium before birthing, and throw out any contaminated cakes.

After the mycelium has visibly covered every speck of the jar, its still not 100% colonized, so leave it be for another week or so and then birth it. Often times the center of the cake can be uncolonized. Since you cant see the center of the cake, its better to leave it be for a week after the jar looks visibly colonized. peace and good luck.

I disagree with HW about waiting a week after it looks like 100% colonization. On the bottom of the jar you can see if the center is colonized (unless you put verm on the bottom). I'd say if it looks like 100% its 100%, maybe give it a few more days but not a whole week.

Make sure the slow jars are getting enough air, try removing the tape if the holes are covered.

i'd recommend exposing jars to light daily now
and wait until you see a few pinning
before birthing,
you get bigger 1st flushes that way
and it's often even faster
than birthing pre-pinning
