the only spray bottle i have is one that once contained a possibly dangerous cleaning product. is there anyway i can clean it to ensure full residue removal?

Yes, you can just use water and rinse it out a couple of times. If the bottle is plastic then chemicals will wash away fairly easily. to clean the nozzle fill the bottle with water and just spray water through it for a little while. Bleach or achohol may work |

getting a new bottle would probably be the best thing. they are like 99 cents. plus, spray bottles for cleaning products and such are designed more to spray rather then mist (im assuming you want to use it for humudification?) sending more of a jet then a fine mist that hangs in the air. but cleaning it out well should work too. better safe then sorry though |

If you must reuse a bottle, rinse, rinse and rinse again with warm water. Spritz a ton of warm water through the spray head. Even a trace of certain toxins can cause mutations in your projects. Buying a clean bottle is preferable, if possible.

Let me just say, I've gone through so many spray bottles, I got sick of buying cheap ones, and invested in some really nice "Spray Master" ones. 5yr warranty on the fuckers! Makes the most nicest finest spray of any of the other things I've used, and the thing is strong. Haven't busted a handle or have one stop working yet. ![]() as for cleaning one with toxic chems in it, I dunno, I wouldn't really mess with it |

FOAF has a pump up mister that he loves a lot. Sometimes more expensive utensils can make a difference. But a well rinsed 409 bottle can be pressed into service, if needed.
