Potency of flushes Question

Hi,
Glad to see everything back up and running!
Question: Is there a difference in the potency of shrooms from later flushes?
My FOAF recently tried some shrooms from the 6th flush of some PF Classic Cakes and the potency was not anywhere near the potency from earlier flushes.
So, Does the Magic get weaker as the cakes get older?

From what I have read, fluctuations seem to occur at every stage. Considering potency is probably just another result, like size, color, amount and etc, there are many factors that influence it that may change in a non-linear fashion through out the growing process.

I have never noticed that much of a difference. Your tolerance is probably increased by the time you get to those later flushes. I like the new avatar, Hip; it suits you. Peace.

Some friends have noticed an increase in potency between flushes.But this has depended upon the strain. My Mex are better on #2 some say, and #3 are about like #1. The Aussies I have done are better on #2, and #3 is the weakest(even weaker than the first flush). So now I just run two flushes across the board, no matter what strain, I scrap the cakes/bricks after a second flush, mix'em up and call it a day. >Off the subject here...Besides, the numbers of fruit get less each time as so does the total weight. Actually, I can guesstimate with faily good accuracy that my second flush will provide 1/3 the dry weight of a first flush and thus a 3'rd flush will give 1/3 of a second. If you are ever in the situation where numbers/weight are your goal... why waste valuable time and grow space waiting a week or two for a small 3'rd or 4th flush ? That time could be spent making some real weight and still provoding your friends with an overall good gift.

dont notice any difference, 2nd flush seems to me to be the biggest volume wise invitro but thats just anicdotal

nice answer bobcat, I agree 100%, the level of psilocin and psilocybin will differ slightly if not greatly between flushes probably due to the fact that we are cultivating the actual mushroom and not actually synthesizing the said chemicals ourselves as say Hoffman did with LSD 25
