    wood lovers and logs experiences???

I have recently acquired some pretty hefty amounts of oak and other hardwood logs that are both seasoned and unseasoned for some edible projects. But i was given way more than expected (2 full trees about 14 inches around the base so i was wondering how successful psilocybe wood
lovers have been in logs in the past if at all.

I am dedicating a few logs to H. Ulmarius and a few to oysters and the rest will be firewood if i can't use them for psilocybes

I was thinking more along the lines of colonizing sawdust and/or dowels and plugging the log and/or placing the sawdust in cuts and/or in between the bark and the wood. Well my FOAF was anyways...

Never seen Psilocybes growing on a solid log..However Shiitaki can be quite rewarding in most temperate climes....
