I have 4 trays of straw noc up with wbs will i get better yields if they are cased and if so what should i use and where could i find it? One more real quick when pasteurizing with lime what is the best lime to use and where can i find it? Thanks for all the help.

Typically you will get a better pinset and more mushies that reach maturity with a casing layer. You can use vermiculite, coir, peat moss, or any of those in combination. I like vermiculite and peat moss mixed at a rate of about 1 to 1 or you can mix em at varying rates. Hydrated lime or pickeling lime are the best to use. You should be able to find the lime at a gardening store or a feed and seed store. Pickeling lime you can find at most grocery stores. |
