Just opening the jar is probably no the best way because they will get all smashed against the glass sides and bottom I would think. I think many crush the cakes and then put a casing layer on it though. Som just birth and fruit. Some birth, leave whole and put a casing/icing on the cake. Search DEC or double ended casing. Some birth, smash into a container and case. I think they call it a flat cake? | |

Hi Cheshire. You can case a PF jar, but it's not the best way of doing it. As Smegma says, if you can birth the cake, then the double ended casing tek is a good one to try. Do you just want to try casing as an experiment, or are there other reasons?

up to this point the brf cake method has been found to be able to be used in the most ways, with good success in each way invitro birthing as a cake crumble cake used as spawn so yup you can do what ya like should all work out fine for you

You can do damn near anything you want to a PF cake . Fruit it case it or spawn it. The shape of the myco matter makes no diffrence but tearing apart the cake to case it increases your waiting time rather then just fruiting it. |
