![]() | can I boil, eat, or make tea from wbs cakes. I wouldnt try with pf style cakes but bird seed seems safe enough. my foaf wants to trip for christmas but even the most mature cakes and casings are not ready. He has a bunch of fully colonized wbs cakes and they look so yumiliscious. Yes we know he is a impatient punk for doing this but he has more cakes than he can possibly fruit anyways. And yea I searched for this but I might have missed it. any input is appreciated especially from personal exp. |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | I wouldn't do it. It really is a waste of a perfectly good cake. The amount of cakes that it would take, you would get way more out of the fruits. Not to mention that while the mycelium contains actives, it's not nearly the amount of the fruits.

![]() ![]() | Sure. But you will not trip, at least not unless there are tons of pins and primoridia (the little white knots that turn into pins) visible on the cake. That's a last-ditch salvage operation for something that otherwise didn't work, and if you try it you only need to shave off the outer layer of the cake (with the knots and pins on it) for your Plan B tea. Mushrooms teach us lots of things, and not always through tripping. Sometimes they teach us that we can't always have what we want for Christmas! ![]() |

![]() | Thanks for the input, I think I might try an iso extraction and yes there appears to be a teeneency bit of primordia / pins and 5 days from now maybe even a little invitro action. yes guys if I make tea I'll make a video and or pics, especially if I repeatedly projectile vomit, either way it sure to be funny. Im not sure I care if I over or under dose because if under I'll drink and smoke if over i'll lay mesmerized staring at my hand. ive bad tripped/od before numerous times, full on demons and such, i just soldier it out. sorry to repeat such an often asked thing there should be a sticky somewhere obvious so people like me dont waste your time. on a different note I heard that verm. is harvested from the same place as asbestos (the illegal construction material that kills you internally) Im not 100% sure though. By the way the total material is 3 liters fully colonized slightly pinning wbs extracted into iso or tea and dosed in 45 minute increments 500ml per person per dose till effects are felt. I think iso is the best way to go, no I guess we wont literally eat them. If anyone know that there are pathogens, carcinogens or just super puke your face off molecules in the wbs please post what and why. again thanks for the input and expect a video/pics. |

![]() ![]() | I'd use Everclear rather than isopropyl, it's edible. And verm won't give you cancer, but it's probably not a good idea to eat very much of it. Yes, one vermiculite mine had asbestos deposits also, but that doesn't make the verm hazardous. |

![]() | ended up waiting till new years, people still have trippy lights up and fire works so all's well. I think I still try the everclear or iso extraction on some stalled/fruiting/contamed/cakes. or any bulk amounts that fail. a hundred + pins from 2 casings (each 3 wbs qrts and 1 qrt 50/50 verm coir) are going offf right now just in time for new years eve so Ill settle, its mainly about all the lights and the time off from work to do it, thats why i was bummed about christmas. Ill start taken picks of the fruits but I cant find the usb cable for my camera. yea doing mushies in a fiendish frenzy is a definite recipe for bad trip, glad patience is paying off. |
