Dunk at notting?

I recently fruited a cake that started to grow invitro. since they were started invitro, I skipped the dunk. I got some large fruits from the invitro'd mushies. after the harvest I noticed hyphal notting. should i dunk regardless of the notting or should I let the knots produce?

If you are concerned about the moisture content, you can always inject the cake with sterile water.

small primordia and pins CAN take a dunk
but big pins cannot, often.
i'd go ahead, personally.
at worst might set it back a couple days
but if you need water for the flush coming on
it's still worthwhile, imo.
just do a shorter dunk to be safe,
10-12 hours instead of 24.

injection can work too, apparently as many seem happy with it-
personally i found injection to be labor-intense
and time consuming,
and delivered less water, too.
but to each their own eh.
