![]() | rehydrating PF cake jars HELP! Ok so I used a method similar to this one: http://forums.mycotopia.net/steriliz...re-cooker.html (Fractional Sterilization - mushrooms without a pressure cooker.) Except I boiled my pf cake jars for 4 days, and on the last day I left the jars on the stove for too long. Damn, well I decided that I would try and grow in them any way and it worked for 7 of 12 jars so far. 3 of 4 hawiians are growing 4 of 4 Cambodians are growing and 0 of 4 Equadorians are growing. Anyone know if the EQs take longer to grow? they have been incubating for 9 days now (all jars) I have seen absolutely no signs of contams in any jars. I don't think that the substrate has been burned as the pot they were boiling in never ran out of water I do think that the jars themselves need water though. Here is what I propose: I want to fill a syringe with well sterilized water, maby even boil the syringe? and rehydrate the jars by injecting them with more water anyone think this will work? Yes/No it will work answers. With an explanation or link would be of great help. Thanks guys ps I posted some pix of the best growing Cambo and Haw for all to see |
