drying my stash

so i have had this problem of getting my shrooms to dry like i would like them to. i always see the movie star pictures of these nice looking full stemmed shrooms, you know perfect. how do i do that.
1. is it important for the drying process to pick the shrooms before they fully mature (before the veil breaks) because i dont do that.
2. what is the best drying technik out there to keep the shrooms looking full bodied and such. because my normal drying process of just leaving them in room temp seems to leave them dried up into a ugly nothing. stems are as skinny as a tooth pick or skinnier. maybe even a dehydrater.

I would place next to a dehumidfier with a fan on them for 12 hrs or so.
Then place in bag or jar in the fridge to store them

2. try runnin air from a fan over them for a day or three ...then use desiccant to dry them up to cracker dry..they are all gonna shrivel up to certain extent no matter what.

I have been known to leave mine out on the lids of tubs to dry. Never in direct sunlight of course. There is never an issue with regard to potency, I grow with worm castings and use wildbird seed for a spawn it gives me decent potency consistently or maybe it's this orrisa india strain im growing. Anyhow I don't notice a big difference in potency comparatively between wet and dry in the ratio 10g/1g. If I haven't taken any in a month 3 grams will take me almost to ego death in a 30min steeped tea.

You get high so fast you forget that its only gearing up and not softening out for the peak and you lose ur nerve a bit, but then the massive body high pisses off a little bit and you can think about other things more important....like laughing your ass off!
