methods for ingesting shrooms - just for funsies.

I have a buddy who told me he's bought shrooms that somebody had ground up with a mortar & pestle, then placed into pharmacy-bought empty medicine capsules. So they came in pills 1/2 gram each. I thought this rather genius, for the multiple advantages. Firstly, they could be carried in a personal prescription bottle, and you'd be safe from the heat. Secondly, no unpleasant shroomy taste. And thricely, they come in pre-set proportions so it's easy to dose yourself.

Has anybody else out there heard of this being done?

Any other cool methods?

I think that method is fairly common. From what I hear it hits you quicker and stronger since it is already powder and easy for the stomach to digest. I haven't tried it, but i plan too evetually. I have a coffe grinder which should work good. I've heard that if you use a coffe grinder, blender, or something similar you should make sure that it doesn't get to hot when your doing it. This could possibly lower potentcy.

Heh, perhaps the technique wasn't as novel as I thought it was. I checked out that device, and it looks pretty legit. Probably worth the investment. I think I'd go with the 00 size... to hold ~1g. I need a scale. Hey, anyone know where to pick up a decent scale for somewhat cheap?

Here ya go. Got mine for $26 including shipping. They have some as cheap as $9 (digital pocket scales). The top acts as an addition so that you can tare it and weigh more. It weighs to the .1g and goes up to 400g. They have 100's of different scales.

ill post some recipes when i get around to it...
but eating the mushroom is part of the experience (unless it's tea)
so a fun one would be jerking the shrooms
when still wet, add some jerk spicing, then dry em (thats exactly how beef jerky is done

)

or you can make some granola bars by getting some alton brown granola bar recipes and substitute the honey with mushy honey and allow to air dry so psilocybin isn't exposed to too much heat

i cook a lot, so i have some tricks up my sleeve

lol. Yeah, that's it. I paid a dollar or 2 more I think. Then shipping was $4.50 or something. It only took 2 days if I remember correctly and the guy sent me a link so that I could track it and see exactly where it was and when. I remember when scales like this used to cost a TON. I was very surprised at how cheap it was. Usually things go up in price like parents saying "I remember when cheeseburgers were 5 for a dollar". grind up the mush in a blender or coffee grinder so that you end up with a fine dust. measure out your dose into a empty glass. take sed glass and fill the some extra pulp OJ(try to get fresh stuff, tropicana is good). mix it up real good and down it. you should be feelin irie in about 20 min

. since the juice has alotta pulp and a strong flavor it completely masks the flavor/texture and also gets it into your system fast as hell.

I found some cheap digital scales at a head shop down the road from my apartment. DOn't remember what I paid exactly but it was less than 20 bucks and they work great. If you live in a big city check out some of the head shops. You might get lucky and find something cheap.

I've done this before, and it works well. My personal combo for a while was to make the oj shot, down a 1mg xanax with it (takes the edge off a bit), then smoke a bowl. Usually by the time the bowl's done, the party is underway.

That said, nowadays I've gone back to "au naturel" and I just eat the damn things with something strong (like beer) to wash it down. It seems to give me better trips for some reason. Maybe the saliva has some enzymatic effect on the psilly, or maybe its purely psychological; I don't know.

I also have a cap m' quick around, for those who are faint of heart...usually ends up being too many capsules for me though.

I agree. Benzo's are great for taking the edge off of the trip. Helps with the anxiety you get when its kicking in. Kratom is also great with shrooms.

Do not mix mushy powder with pepsi. LOL, the foam is almost obscene, and it seems to never stop once mixed..

Eww factor ~ 100%

(I will have to add that come on was less than 5 minutes tho.)

This is fairly common as well, but since nobody has said it yet, I guess I will. Throw the mushies on a peanut butter sandwich. My gf hates eating mushrooms and she does this everytime. It works like a charm for her.

I was planning on my first experience to be with my own home-grown mushies, but I had a great opportunity to get some earlier, so I did

I boiled some water on the stove, and while it was heating up, I put 2g into my bud grinder and ground it thoroughly. I poured a glass of hot water, put the shroom in it and drank it down - i had to spoon out and eat some of the larger chunks that sank to the bottom. It was unpleasant going down, very unpleasant, but I had a damn good time.

Only issue with capsules is because you have to powder the mushies, thus increasing their surface area and exposure to oxygen, when i have made caps in the past i have always thought it best to use them quickly for that reason.

00 hold .5 grams

I have never noticed any potency degradation even though powder can degrade quicker but with the combination of the powder being encapsulated and if you store them in the freezer the potency won't degrade near as fast.

I've had 4-5 month old caps that didn't have any noticeable potency loss.

Never had the 000 but they would proabably make it easier. The only thing is they are usually alot more expensive than the 00.

I agree that 00 will hold .5 grams. I have noticed a reduction in potency over time with ground mushrooms. A friend of mine has also noticed this. Some disagree. I think I shall conduct a study on this.......

When you puree mushies in the oj, it also produces a nasty foam on top. Kinda sudsy. Very gross too. I've learned not to try and pulverized them in the oj, because it just gets really gross.
Now my preferred method of ingesting them is capping.

Shrooms taste bad, but the texture is far worse for me.

I have read that once ground up, the powder should be capped ASAP to lock in the magic. This is not from personal experience, but just what I have read. I have read if it is capped ASAP then it will retain it's potency.

I have read that a good mask for boomers is combos. I have not tried this, but I'm sure that I will. The person said that you can't taste the shrooms at all and the consistency of them (getting stuck in your teeth and stuff) is eliminated.
