Atmospheric Questions In Regards to Rez-Effect Variant Grow

hello again mycotopians!
got a few questions on this procedure:
1. knock up wbs quart containers via mycrotopia (http://www.mycrotopia.com/catalog/ca...2520Substrates)
2. incubate at 83 F
3. spawn to 50/50 coir/ozark donkey poo
4. allow to colonize, then case in 1/2 in. of coir and induce pinning by adding light, backing down temperatures to 75 F, and bringing RH to 80% in growtent
5. allow for fruiting...
6. pick, dry via sauna without heating element or humidity
7. eat and enjoy

Here's the questions:
1. How many cc's are need to innoc each quart jar of wbs?
2a. If I use one quart colonized wbs per container, how much coir/poo will be needed for it to be spawned into (# of blocks of coir, how much poo)?
2b. In regards to how much should be used, how large should the containers be, optimally?
3. Temperatures look good?
4. Do I need to have the RH at 80% in said growtent with a procedure like the one described above?
5. Pinning procedure look good?
6. I have read that when doing wild mushroom hunting, one must cut away the mushrooms in the picking field and leaving 1/2 in. of stem so the mushroom can regrow without eventually depleting field. That being said, should the same harvesting procedure be used when using a procedure like the one I have outlined?
7. Does the mixture have to be rehydrated after each harvest/flush? Even if RH is at 80% in the room?

If there are any questions about how the conditions will be maintained in the growtent, please refer to my thread titled "The Ultimate Growroom" and read my last post, outlining the growtent construction.

much love mycotopia
thank you!

oh, and the idea is from the grow from oatman-
http://forums.mycotopia.net/coir-pea...t-variant.html (WBS SPAWNED TO COIR BULK SUBSTRATE [ REZ-EFFECT VARIANT ])
thanks oatman and hip for providing

4 cc's to a quart or a little more. i like to mix spawn pretty heavily so it will finish faster. 30-40% spawn/sub. you will have to read how much your coir makes and figure out how much you need for 2 quarts. most everything else sounds like it should work.

thanks twoguysupnorth
does more cc = faster colonization?

You need to be careful with this. Too much liquid shot into seed has the potential for disaster. It just depends on how much moisture is already in the seed after pc'n. It also depends on if you are using an LC or MS.

1 Qt spawn to 10 Qts substrate is a nice place to start.

If you plan on using 1 Qt spawn per tray, an aluminum turkey tin would work fine for this amount if you plan on fruiting in the grow room you had talked about in the previous thread.

Yup.

Wherever you got that info from was WRONG. Leaving part of the stem will only create rot/contams in an indoor environment. Not so bad for outdoors tho, but still not the best thing to do. However, you do want to be careful when harvesting so you do not disrupt the mycelium network.

Its a good idea to dunk, yes. The mushrooms pull moisture from the beds, and it does need to be rehydrated for future flushes.

i just said/used 4 cc because that would be equal to 1cc per half pint. though i have used as much as 6cc. you would want to be carefull not to get it too wet though like mentioned.

like i said i mix the spawn sort of heavy so it colonizes faster, sometimes my house leaves something to be desired in the cleanliness area, with the dogs and dust(old house) i want to try and beat the contams. one and soosh obviously know what they are doing but they are probably much cleaner than i am,lol. good luck with your grow.

Red face revelation

thanks twoguysupnorth
oh and i figured out an easy way to flood the pans
im going to line them with sterilized plastic mesh before i put the substrate in
so when i flood and let it sit for like 18 hours, i can simply lift up the casing from the plastic mesh and let the water drain into the pan, then replace the pan with a new sterilized one!

only question-
do i remove the coir casing every time i flood?
should i leave it on?
should i scratch it or something?

thank y'all, have a great evening
