    polyfil in grain

when you shake a jar w/a polyfil top, is it o.k. if some strands get loose in the grain? this happened with a couple wheat berry jars i have going, i'm wondering if that could become a problem later on??

even more so if it gets colonized
once something is covered in mycelium its alot harder for other molds to grow on it
so if its in the jar, all should be well

they're in the jars, haven't knocked 'em up yet but everything was PC'd so they should be sterile..

    shouldnt be a problem.

next time when you put poly in the lids, wad it up a bit and press it with your thumb against the outside of the hole. then pinch the bit bulging through the other side and give it a little tug (as opposed to twisting it into a 'rope' and just pulling through)

you should end up with a little bun of polly on the inner-side without any loose ends hanging off.

shouldnt get any more loose poly getting pulled off. i find this gives a much better seal as well
