casing question, this should be easy

swim has done a pf cake grow and had good results and wants to move up to casing. there seem to be so many recipes and teks for it that it can be confusing to figure out just what is really needed if you are going to go the lazy route. by lazy i mean buying premade casing layer etc. so i guess the question is. if swim is going to do a casing and already has the casing layer material all pasteurized, is the only other thing he needs is a substrate? if so even then there are too many options. would getting a bag of pasteurized hpoo or one of those myco/spawn bags with everything all ready in it sterilized and with filter patches etc do it? i know he can do pf tek jars break them up and just cover them, but that is a bit pricey to do it that way when he's lazy and buys the premade jars for 48 per dozen. he's looking for something he can innoc with a syringe, let colonize then dump into a tinfoil pan, case then put in a FC a few days later. thanks in advance since i know it's a dumb question.

actually i was thinking of your when i said that, i see they are on sale now. but still the jars seem pricey if you are doing casing, am i wrong? the bags APPEAR to ME to be the way to go, i'm just not sure the differences between the different types and names of them and also if once the bag is colonized if it could just be used from there as a cake would be, all the vids i see of the bags show it being used to spawn other bags/jars. do you have a recommendation for a beginner for a first time casing? thanks

one justs inject bags, let it colonize,
cut bag open and dump contents into tray then case.
