    Casing Question?

I recently put my casing into a terrarium but it does not have 50% colonization. It only has about 15-20%, is this enough or should i place back into incubation. It has been sitting in the terrarium for about 5 days. is it ok to put back into incubation if Needed?

Most of the time I will place a casing in the fc directly after casing it. I think it speeds things up a bit. It takes some time for the myc to switch gears into fruiting mode anyways. It is a matter of personal preference, I think You should be just fine.

I don't incubate my casings. I set them to fruit right after casing.

    Yours should do fine.

    Good luck.

You normally would incubate your newly spawned substrate for 5 days, then case when it's fully colo'd ..Once cased it can go directly to fruiting or maybe a short incubation period..It's not nessessary to have the casing layer colo'd ..I prefer that it remains mostly
clear ,so it can be easily watered..
Usually ends up about 50% though...

Question help ive worked so hard waiting...

i hate that i have been trying to find the right thread about casing for hours now. this one sounds about like what i need to hear if you know what i mean. alot of times i find myself searching and searching for the thread that will put my worries to ease... haha.. i cased about a week ago, a little thick but in my opinion(i shouldnt have one at all being a first timer) but not too thick. I can see mycellium poking through but its not as noticeable or white as i would want it to look like. i did half peat half verm case as i saw on a video "lets grow mushrooms" and i didnt use the lime as it asked. i have a couple miniscule in 2 of the trays and a couple nice sploches of mycellium in a couple of the tins but still not what i think should be there.

Should i put my trays in the fc or no. my friend whos methods i use says i need to wait untill the case is fully colonised and fluffy white. the whole casing/fc stage really confuses me and i dont want to mess up the fruits of my labor.

i would send pics but using my camera phone you would think that there is no mycellium in my casing.

not very good pics but u can see a few pins and myc along the edges and there is also strands poking through all over it just seems alot darker than i expected but since its already incubated for about a week i went ahead and put it in the fc. i counted about 11 pins 4 in one tray and 7 in another but they are all in the same areas. im just nervous since its my first grow.
