Beginning of Lipstick mold?

Is this the beginning of lipstick mold? I have a few jars that have these red dots spread out.

Don't look too healthy to me, maybe too wet? Looks kinda green to me, too, but that may just be my monitor... I'd say scrap that and start over...

I think the green is just the colour balance of the pic (look at the (white?) paper in the background).

I'd be inclined to leave it for a few days, and see if it develops. It's difficult to tell when it's so small. It could just be a piece of coloured something that got into the jar.
I got worried when I saw a tiny bright green patch in a jar a while back. It turned out to be a piece of printed polythene from the vermiculite bag.

Yah I was thinking that at first then I looked at all of my jars and now they all have little dots in the exact path of where I inoculated them. But I will leave them for a bit. You are also right about the green color balance that is just because I used a flash to try to get a bright picture so that one could see the marks.

I had some jars like that, and they turned out just fine. I thought it was lipstick mold, as well, but if you look real close you'll see it's a mis-coloration of your verm. My verm has some red specks once water has been mixed with it, nothing to worry about. If it gets bigger, then you can worry

watch close
and don't use those for prints/spawn

hey i threw awat like 5 jars last time that i thought might have lipstick..
but then when i seen it again noticed the color from the verm as well.. .
i never took the time to let i grew so i think i might have wasted a few good jars... lol
oh well live and learn..
