You could try the image I've attached or try a bigger image.

You need to take your image and resize it. If you have photoshop, that's what I use. If the image you have is really small though and you resize it larger, it will probably stretch or the image quality will go downhill. G'luck.

Cakes make great compost. Even if they are contaminated. "Mushroom compost" that you buy from the garden store is spent substrate from commercial mushroom farming.

One suggestion: bury the cakes within a 1/2 inch of the compost surface. You might just get some extra bounty!

spent/contaminated cakes seem to come around when placed out in with some compost.
Foaf puts all spend subs and contaminated everything into the same pile in the corner of the yard along with grass clippings, weeds from garden, and whatever else he comes across and it never fails to make him smile every year

This has definitely been my plan for contamed jars ever since I decided to pick up the hobby. No reason to throw out perfectly good mycelium that can make it outdoors.

my folks used to rake the leaves from their backyard to the curb n a truck comes and takes em away.. drives me nuts, its pretty much throwing out ur backyard little by little.. So I convinced them to just pile all the leaves in the corner of the yard and just leave em. They've been doing that now for about 5 years and at the bottom of that pile is some of the richest soil you can ever find. Anyways, if you have a pile like this in ur yard, throw ur spent cakes in there. If they dont fruit, you'll definately add to the pile of killer soil.
