    PC safety valve blew: Advice needed.
    1 hr and 15 min in, wbs in quart jar. was rocking just fine, and hole,where rocker goes, was clear before starting(double checked).

    All contents of pc contained in jars.

    Blow out valve not located as of yet

    possible explanations?

    The plug was old and weak and did what it is supposed to do. You have to replace those suckers regularly, just like the gaskets.

    DON'T REUSE THE PLUG IF YOU FIND IT.

    You should be able to get a replacement. Follow the instructions on any pre-moistening and how to insert it.

    I've had this happen to me a couple times, scared me damn outta my mind. Especially since I was standing right next to it.

    Depending on your model PC, you should be able to find a replacement fairly easily.

    the blow out valve blew out.... good thing the PC didnt bust open instead!

    PCs scare me.. im taping a plastic cup or something over my blowout valve so if it does for some reason blow out, it wont hit me in the face!

    The plug would blow straight through any cup you taped on the PC and the tape would melt and make a mess anyway.

    That is why the blowout is on the back side of the lid and colored red - keep yer face away from the line of fire!
