| First thoughts w/ B+ Grow-invitro Alright. Well, I've got mushrooms coming. That is awesome. That being said, DANG, does B+ always cluster like this? I feel like I'm missing out on some potential fruits. Seems like B+ would do really great in Chronic tek or with a regular FC. But I've got so many babies that just don't have room to grow! I know, this is a good problem to be having. A good number of jars look a little something like this. ![]() This is about the biggest fruit I've got going so far. Going to take a shot at cloning it. ![]() Thanks to everyone for the support and information. Hippie, thank you so much for Mycotopia. I've learned more off of this website than I can even fathom, and I certainly feel like I know more than I can practice at this point! |

| It looks good, man. Mushrooms often grow in clusters. I personally don't think there is a lot of difference between invitro and using an FC; at least the ease of growing shrooms invitro outweighs the fanning and maintaining of an FC. I have never used the Chronic Tek, but I would guess you might get a few more fruits, similar to using a regular FC. I look at it this way: growing invitro requires very, very minimal work, and the results are usually pretty good, and it's easy to hide. Growing with an elaborate setup is a bigger risk and much more time-consuming. But it all depends on what you want out this hobby. |

| Looks good, congratulations! Next time, you might consider leaving more empty space for the shrooms to grow in. After you harvest and dunk, you might consider cutting them in half and putting each half in it's own jar for more fruiting space.

| Okay! I have 23 half pint jars. 9 of them are fruiting prolifically, 1 of them is beginning to fruit, and the other 13 are being pokey, but I have faith in them. I unfortunately lost my data when I threw all my cakes in to dunk, because I didn't have enough resources (time was the big one, tubs was the second) to document which ones were MS and which ones were LC. My guess would be that all of the ones fruiting are from MS, because they had received about 10 days extra light. I also have 3 pint jars, although there doesn't seem to be much going on with those yet. ![]() And here is big papa bag. If someone were to tell me that these little white knots would one day be mushrooms, I would be very happy, because they're all over the cake. There are two other bags that look about the same, although the cakes are smaller. ![]() |

| Beauty invitro jars there, man! EXCELLENT work! The bags should do pretty much the exact same things the jar cakes have done. Wanna share any about your technique for sealing/inoculating the bags? Oh, when you decide to harvest, just peel those suckers off (they will be stuck the the cake solidly). Don't leave any mushroom tissue - it can rot and go nasty in the dunk. Congrats though, man. I love those little squished up invitro jars...

| BB, that makes me feel great that you'd ask how I did my bags - seriously. Thanks a ton. Well, the bags are sealed with masking tape. They have a piece of masking tape all the way across the top, and I didn't fold the flaps (are they called gussets?) in because I thought air was getting in this way. So all I did was take a piece of masking tape and folded it over on top of the entire bag. This was very simple. Next time I think I'll fold the bag over on itself, and then tape it. I inoculated with 10 CCs of LC. All I did was put some tape on the bag during PC run with a little tab to make it easy to pull off. Then, in my "G lovebox of I noculation" (+5 to Sterile Inoculation checks, seriously) I pulled the tab back a tiny bit, punctured the bag, and squirted the LC all across the top. Then I mixed! I inoculated the bags on 6/26, mixed about 10 days later I'd say. And they've been solid white for a good two weeks now, but this is the quickest I've been able to get around to fruiting them. |

| Hella nice work, man. Ya gotta share the details, though! Never heard of anybody sealing a spawn bag with masking tape. I would have said it would fail...and I would have been wrong! Can't wait to see 'em fruit! Oh yeah, is it a filter patch spawn bag?

| Been sloppy this week. Should have recorded which jars I've been taking pictures of. This guy decided he wanted to stretch out across the entire circumference of the jar. ![]() The Twins ![]() Tried to show how big the guy at the bottom is, and also that the little ones up top are numerous ![]() Mushroom jungle ![]() See the bottom one pointing left? Veil's torn, right? What happens if I let it keep going, because there are lots of little guys in this jar wanting to get big. I don't think I'm going to get it out of the jar without destroying the cake anyway. I was going to try to add moist verm to the cakes. ![]() |

| Great job Santiago, those are some large fruits you got there! They look real healthy; you're going to be happy with that harvest. And that bag looks like a snowy mountain, I gotta try going with a bag soon. Gives me inspiration man. Those tall jars are tough to get the cakes out, I can tell. I have let mine go well beyond the stage that one that broke the veil is at. They've laid dark ass spore prints on my cakes because I couldn't get the cakes out before the first flush and I just waited til most of the jar was ready; still no problems with contams for me (yet). Hopefully you can keep those cakes together, they're doing great.

| http://forums.mycotopia.net/attachme...o-dsc00104.jpg just let it grow more, and i'd not advise extra verm now, better to dunk.

| First Harvest! Okay folks. After 5 years of random attempts to fruit mushrooms, I bring you - my first harvest! This is 6 half pints worth. I'd take pictures of individual clusters and such, but I'm super busy today with cultivation errands. I am pretty happy with the turn out, and I didn't have to destroy any cakes, although a few of them were quite difficult to get out of the jars. Oh well. Now they're going in pint jars for a semi-Chronic 2nd flush. ![]() Thanks for all the support, see y'all on the other side of bulk! Oh yeah - PS. A little vermiculite in a chocolate never killed anybody, right? |

| Great Harvest San man congrats and verm in chocolate I am unsure how well that would digest and might not be very kind on the stomach.

| Buy you a lil soft brush man and just brush it off. A old tooth brush would work nicely. I would sterlize it first though.

| Your lucky, cause I had to destroy my cakes to get them out. Nice little harvest there. Enjoy yourself.
