    It's A Boy!!!
    I am now the proud papa of pins. The "big one" is named Stubby.

    This is my first grow and I am sure everyone who has grown out there knows exactly how I felt this morning when I saw pins on my cakes. This is too cool. I do have a few questions though.

    How long (I know it varies) will it take before my pins will be full grown?

    I have noticed that the pins seem to be forming on areas that are not covered with fluffy mycelium. Instead, they seem to be popping out where no fluff has grown at all. Why is that?

    Last question. There are two pics (I know they are bad and at a wierd angle) that show a group of 20 or so pins right on top of each other. Will all these pins grow out or will the strong ones take over?

    P.S. These are B+ and Mazatapec but I have no idea which is which right now.

    I know that feeling, It's wonderful to wake up and see some beautiful growth after all the work you've put in. I think I could sit and watch them grow. lol. Its definately a fun hobby with a nice reward at the end! I hope you get come nice results.

    3 days or so to mature the nubbins ..They often form where the myc is hidden by moist casing , as they run out of the food source in a region that's moist/humid w oxygen..

    Congrats on the happy pin dance, man!!!

    Pins on a cake or a case are always nice, but first pins are super sweet.

    The clusters will turn into one or two (maybe three) big shrooms and aborts. Just let 'em all grow out - they all trip nice!
