![]() | Can you tell me what strain this is? I use to have 5-6 different strains that got mixed up.......over time I only had this one strain left..............I know it is a cube, but I do not know what strain...... I know I used to have: hawaiian tazmanian B+ and a couple more that I can not remember........... Thanks! ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()

![]() | I am almost certain they are cubensis. Seriously, it is virtually impossible to tell strains from eyeballing them. Environment can play a huge impact on how they grow out. Nice grow, regardless!

![]() | This may help, may not. Check Ralphsters, he has pictures of all the strains and you can try and figure out all the strains that you did have and then start eliminating them strain by strain and at least narrow it down. The if you get down to 2 or 3 strains, maybe the people here can eliminate some of those.Very nice looking BTW. ![]() ![]() ![]()

![]() | No, there are differences from strain to strain that are repeatedly seen. Some for example have a nipple on top. Some have solid stems. There are different characteristics for different strains and they can vary quite a bit. The B+ that I just grew, I have taken a bunch of prints. I can grow them in 3 years or whatever and they will all look like the B+ that I just grew. Look at the Ralphsters site and you will see differences in their looks and their descriptions.

![]() | Dunno. I have grown 1 strain different generations, from different prints, casings, cakes, outside, inside, and they all looked the same. I guarantee that it is not all hype. If you get a strain that is supposed to have a nipple it will have a nipple. If you get a strain that is supposed to have a solid stem as apposed to a hollow stem or vise versa that's what you will get. If you get Penis Envy it will look like a cock, otherwise it's not PE. If there weren't any differences between strains in appearances then that would have been called out a long time ago and vets that have been growing for years and years wouldn't be collecting different strains. Lots of cubes do look very similar, but there are subtle differences in their genetics that stick with the strain. If you show me a tex and a B+ I guarantee I will be able to tell you which is which every time.

![]() ![]() | was mexi pal one of the ones you had? b/c those fluffy "socks" as i call them at the bottom of each stem are a rather distinguishing trait for that strain IME. the number of fruits and size seems consistant with that strain too... if it ain't palanque i don't know man. .......... as for the discussion on all cubies looking a like, i have to agree with lookyhere, A LOT of them do look very similar, but i can pick a picture of tex, PF albino, or PE out of a line up of 10 pics every time, they are very distinguished in their appearance. there are a few others out there that have their own little quirks like mex pal's "socks" or PFC's high abort rate and fat stems. but other then those i find it almost impossible to tell and EQ from an SA from a Taz from a PR, etc..

however, without a scope, no one can tell for certain, and a SEM at that! a cube is a cube, with the exception of varietal hybrids. | |

![]() | I have had several p.m.'s asking me what substrate/method I used so here it is: 1. Vermiculite 2. Colinized Birdseed Or Pop Corn (I always use both with this hobby) 3. Casing Layer Of 50/50 Vermiculite & Peat moss These three layers are put in a 8in x 8in baking tray..........I was able to fit 14 of these in the grow box........................
