Thumbs up " Amazon " Cloning LC

The Flat Cake Of Amazon Is Now Going On The Second Flush. The Fruits Are Extremely Potent And The Vibes Are Great. Now ... The First Flush Came Out With Very Short And Fat Fruits , The Second Had Grown Out With Long And Fat " Great Size " Fruits. I Would Like To Try Cloning This Beauty. Looking Through The All Of Arkives And Info It Seems That A LC Is The Easiest Way To Clone A Fruit. The last Picture Is Of The First Flush ... Funny How The Fruits Came Out Totally Different The Second Flush ???

Haha, it looks like the log is some sort of gun or cannon and the two huge fruits are legs to prop it up. Awesome.

That is my understanding. One of the simplest teks I've seen for doing this is to take a syringe about half full of distilled water (make sure it's sterilized first!) and stab it through close to the base of the fruit you want to clone and then *squirt* it into your lc. This gives a good *clean* sample of the fruit body and doesn't hardly even blue the mush from the pics I've seen. I will repost with the link if I can find it again!

    Liquid Culture ...

The Liquid Culture Was Made With A Few Potatoes Boiled In Spring Water. Added One Tablespoon Of Nutritional Yeast To The Water. After Boiling The Water Was Strained With A Coffe Filter . Next , 250 ml Of Distilled Water Was Measured Out And One Teaspoon Of Karo Syrup Was Mixed In. Then Four Teaspoons Of The Potato / Nutr. Yeast Water Was Added To The 250 ml . Mixed And Poured Into Three Sep. Half Pints About 2/3rds Of The Way . The Lids Were Made Previously With One Hole In The Center For Air Exchange . Breathable Tape Covers The Hole B4 Pressure Cooking . Then An Additional Hole Was Drilled On The Side Of The Lid And Filled On Both Sides With Silicone . This Will Be The Syringe Port For Extraction Of The Mycillium. Jars Were Covered With 2 Layers Of Foil & Pressure Cooked For One Hour At 15 PSI . After Cooling The Next Morning , The Homemade Glovebox And Tools And Were Cleaned With Alcohol . Oust Was Also Sprayed Into The Air . The Room Was Left To Be Still For 30 Mins Or So . The Jars & Fruit Specimen Were Then Placed In The Glove Box With Sterile Tools . Alcohol Swabs Were Also UsedTo Clean Hands Well Before Touching The Fruit . The Foil Was Removed From Jars And The Bottom Half Of Mushroom Was Cut Off With A Sharp Knife . The Outer Skin Was Peeled Off And The Bottom Half & Then Was Split Into Six Pieces. 2 Pieces Of The Fruit Were Placed In Each Jar By Removing The Tape Slowly , Then Dropping The Piece Into The Jar. Then 3 Newly " Pre " Cut Pieces Of Tape Were Put Over The Holes. The Three Jars Were Then Placed Into The Incubation Chamber At 82 Deg. Hopefully This Will Work Out The Way Its Supposed To .

Tried To Be As Clean / Sterile As Possible With Everything So We Will See how It Goes . I Probably Will Do A Test Jar For Each LC . Then Let Them Grow Out To Test For Contams B4 Making Ten Or So More PF Jars. Will Make 5 Cakes ANd A Small Horse Manure / Coir / Straw Bulk Of Each LC That Is Viable. Can't Wait To See The Difference With A Cloned Isolate Rather Than Using Multi Spore !!!

Had To Put A H/P Jar Underneath To Prop The Rack Up ...

After Dunking The Cake In Manure Dilluted Water ... The Cake Was Re Cased And Set on The Rack In The Fruiting Chamber. To My Suprise , Fruits Came From The Bottom Were The Fluffy Mycillium Was. This Is Also What Happened With The First Flush , But They Came From The Sides. The To Was Scratched And When Half Of The Flush Was Done, Fruits Came Out From The Scratched Surface.

Question About Fruit Changing Shape ...

Fruits From The First Flush Were Short And Stubby . I Have Seen A Few People's Grows Turn Out This Way But No One Seemed To have An Answer For It . The Second Flush Grew Out To A Totally Differen't Size And Length ? One Was A Great Cloning Spec. So This Is Why A LC Was Made . The Question Is... Why Would The First Flush Grow Out Short Stubby Fruits , Then, The Second Turn Out With Totally Differen't Characteristics ? Could This be Due To The Nutrients Used " WBS " And The Fruits Using The Primary Nutes. On The First Flush ? Substrate Was WBS Layered Between Coir & Vermiculite. Then A 1/4 Inch Coir & Vermiculite casing. Fruits Were Only About 1 To 2 Inches Tall X One Inch Wide Caps On The First Flush. Then The Second Put Out Huge 6 to 8 Inch Long Stems And 4 '' Caps ..... ? Does Anyone Know Why This Happens ? They Are Very Potent And Great Looking Specimens So I Would Love To Keep This Strain Going. Hopefully The LC Will Make This Possible . I Would Love To See How A Few Cakes Plus A Small Bulk Fruit Using This Clone . Should The Same WBS , Coir & Vermic Sub. Be Used For The Clone ? Will Not Using WBS For The Primary Substrate Be A Problem And Cause The Fruits To Come Out Different . Would Like To Knock Up BRF 1 / 2 Pints With The LC's. Thanks For The Help .
