![]() | Day 10 casing... Nothing I cased 4 trays 10 (almost 11 now) days ago and have seen nothing. The Myc has taken over all the casings nicely as of day 4. I do not believe I have contams on 3 of the casings, possibly trich on the 4th though. That casing was isolated 2 days ago and the trich has not grown (visibly). The RH was around 60% for the first 5 days so now I have been watching it closely, I keep it 80-95% RH and fan about 3 times a day. The strain is Z. Any suggestions? Should I dunk the casings? Sorry no pics yet until I get my camera back. Last edited by helloinsomnia : 07-28-08 at 21:41. Reason: No pictures |

![]() | What temperatures? What kind of environment are you fruiting in? How long since the trays first started getting light?

![]() | 6 days is way too soon to panic. 74 is a little cool and it might well be 10-14 days before you see pins. Be patient. Keep humidity up and do fresh air exchanges regularly. You should be fine.

![]() | Patience is a virtue. Not one of mine, but I hear good things. Seriously, waiting is hard but important. SOOOOO easy to have a "brilliant idea" and screw up a project that was just about to pop... And 74 is cool...it might be two weeks...

![]() | I fruit all my projects at 69 to a high of 73 deg. My projects take at least 15 days to show fruits from there 7 to 10 from pins to harvest. Temps are fine imo. All sounds good. Like bb said patience is a virtue. Hang in there and gluk. |

![]() | The wait is over ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() I went in there to fan and mist and bam all 4 casings decided to start pinning. The casing I suspected had trich seems to be doing far better than the others. I will continue to isolate it probably throughout its lifetime. I feel relieved :-). Do the mushies need 12 hours of complete darkness? I never thought about it until now but I am nocturnal and turn the lights on at night so during the day they do receive a bit of indirect sunlight. Could this be slowing down the process? Should I keep a towel over the tops of my FC's? |

![]() | Congratulations, man!!! ![]() Happy pin dance ! ! ! ! ![]() ![]() ![]() Fruiting lighting doesn't even have to be regular. Once the pins have started, all it does is tell them which way is "up." If you put them in total darkness now, all the pins you have will still grow to maturity.
