![]() | please make sure my tek is correct before i start i'm starting a new grow - ATL #7 sclerotia. hoping i could give an account of what i'm doing so someone can catch any mistakes before i start. i'm gonna post this same thread at the shroomery just in case. -Get ATL #7 spore syringe from sporeworks -get a dozen quart jars -fill each quart jar with about a cup, maybe a cup and a half, of rye grass seed (or some grass seed mix that is mostly rye), and half that amount of water. (alternatively i suppose i could just soak/simmer the rye grass seed to saturate it with water, would this be a better way to get the correct moisture levels?) -Punch two small holes in the lids of the jars - fill one with high-temp silicone sealant (will "100% silicone" work?) to make a self-healing innoculation site. cover the other hole with tyvek on both sides (sclerotia needs very minimal air exchange) -put the lids on the jars and keep the bands loose -PC the cans for an hour at 15 psi or steam them for like 2 hours -let them cool, then iccoculate each jar with a little less than 1cc of spore water, trying as best i can to get the spore water to the bottom of the jar -place in a styrofoam cooler. since the place the cooler is in is <60* F, ill add a heatbomb to keep the temp. up to the low 70s. -wait 3-4 months -harvest --------------------------------------------------------------- also i'm wondering if when i do this you would all like a detailed tek/grow log with pics. i figure little enough research has been done with sclerotia that one more good tek wouldn't necessarily be overkill

u left out -make LC and i suggest using Perennial Rye grass seed for this, my Atlantis did GREAT on it, much better then organic rye berry, or whole rye seed. The bags at Lowes are exactly what i used, i believe the smaller seed allowed more room for sclerotia to form, mine was packed full, little seed left to clean away from the stones: ![]() | |

![]() | thanks for the help, limeade, at least someone responded to me! jk, ive bugged everyone here enough already about my new grow like i always do before i start anything... i will definately try to make a nice photo-grow log-sclerotia tek and let you know how things go. oh and im not making an LC, just going from multispore, will this be alright you think? also limeade if you dont mind me asking how did you do the water in your jars (put in seed and water and PC or did you soak the seed before putting it in?) and why is it that you said perennial ryegrass is the best but you included a pic of annual...which one is it?

![]() | you are right, i did mean annual, but i said perennial, i apologize, the picture is correct. I boiled water, then took off eye, then dumped in seed, sorry, PC'd 30mins later after draining. you'll be fine without the LC, im just an LC making fool. and my Atlantis only took 82 days start to finish, so don't NOT check it after a month. |
